Amazing!!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Jan 29, 2013
We stayed here for two nights, with 4 kids (7,8, 12 and 14) and 4 adults and everything was perfect. The staff were all great and helped us organize trips and travel to our next destination. The food was great and the outlook over the river from the dining area is absolutely beautiful. Its so serene and relaxing there.

The cottages are really lovely and a lot of thought went into designing them. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Loved this place! Were here in honeymoon and we couldnt ask for more, the staff in unbelievable nice to the guest , have their great trip with normal price, not trying to take your money, very honest.
A little bit far away from city but this is not so bad :₪

This is my 2nd time to the Oriental Kwai, and I am still impressed how a family (Evelien & Djo) can run such a place to such perfection. If I was the CEO of a major international hotel chain, I would definitely send my executives to this place to find out the secret of making people welcomed and happy. The Oriental Kwai is a must visit to anyone going to Thailand, and the nearby Erawan Water Falls is one of my favorite places in Thailand. No need to elaborate my comments: Perfect hosts, Perfect staff, Perfect hotel, Perfect bungalows and Perfect F&B.

Room tip: Any room is a bliss!

This resort is absolute perfection! The location is stunning, the bungalows are beautiful, incredible food and hospitable staff! We didn't want to leave! We stayed for 3 nights and would have happily stayed for longer.

Beautiful setting on wonderful grounds that gives the feeling of peace and tranquility. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcomed by Evelyn and staff that immediately offered a divine smelling cold cloth and refreshing fruit juice. The bungalow we were escorted to was tastefully decorated, spacious, clean and contained a large open bathroom and floor to ceiling windows on 3 sides of the bungalow. We didn't like the air conditioner blowing on us so no problem, we were promptly accommodated with a fan. I appreciated that in our room we were provided with an information booklet outlining the various sites and attractions in the area along with other services they offered. Evelyn was always very friendly and gracious and most importantly, she was around to answer any questions we had. All in all we enjoyed our two nights stay and would return to this little slice of paradise. If you want to be close to town then you probably wont like it here as it is a bit of a ways out, for us, the peace and tranquility of the location was ideal.

Room tip: They are all good from what I could see

Admittedly, I have always been a budget or average traveller, but this place is the best accom. I have ever stayed at in my life.
Overall the place is utter paradise. Tears in my eyes thinking back.
The grounds and location right on the river are stunning. The rooms are stunning. What more can I say.
Free bicycles / scooter for use, the breakfast will blow you away. 7 choices and have as much as you want.
A pack of friendly dogs for entertainment live at the complex. Waitresses have limited English but are very attentive.
As it is run by a European woman she knows what European travellers like.
You can ride the bikes to the local township and surrounding country areas. She uses very reliable taxi drivers for day trips.
We stayed three nights. Four would have been ideal.

This review is too painful to write. I need to get back there asap.

Room tip: I think the riverside cottage has the best view.
