Booked large family cabin by pond- sleeps upto 6 comfortably with elegant Thai furnishings.Very clean with lots of mod-cons. Hotel gardens are beautifully designed, (great for anyone who likes plants) with space between bungalows & didn´t ever feel "cramped" although all cabins where being used. You feel as if you are literally in the jungle but with a safe, serene atmosphere & great accomodation.
Staff & owners are attentive & friendly without being overbearing. Food is excellent with a good mixture of Thai & Western food - not the cheapest food but excellent. If you like Thai food, definetly worth trying chefs specials, these are incredible! Also there is a great choice of breakfast options-will suit everyone. Restaurant is set on veranda overseeing river (remember mosquito spray)- perfect after a busy day sightseeing or with the elephants at Elephant World. Felt a million miles away when we sat down by the river & just watched it flow by....
Easy drive from town (own car)-approx. 15 mins though GPS was handy. Once you get to hotel you won´t want to leave so eat in & then borrow a movie. I would recommend to anyone, couples or families as it has a wonderful relaxing atmosphere. All of family wanted to stay on- Unfortunately no space but will definetly return soon to finish tourism and just enjoy the resort itself.

My wife and I arrived at about 8pm in late November for the start of our honeymoon after a hot and sticky 4 hour taxi ride. We were exhausted, but about halfway down the driveway, Brai greeted us with offering to carry our bags and we are offered an ice cold towel and lemon grass drink. We soon become energized, drink it and sit down to an amazing dinner overlooking the river and serene gardens.
The rest of our 4 night stay was as amazing as the first night. Fantastic service, especially from Brai, incomparable food and cocktails at a cheap price, beautiful surrounds, huge and superbly furnished rooms and much more. We stayed in the river view cottage which in our opinion was the best. Private and overlooking the flowing river.
It was the ideal honeymoon spot. We wish we could've stayed longer but we will certainly endeavour to come back and most certainly will recommend to anybody going to Thailand.

Room Tip: The river view room is very private and has the best view.

This is probably one of the nicest places I've ever stayed in. The gardens are stunning, and you will be tempted to just stay in the resort and do nothing, because it is so peaceful and beautiful. The sight of the trees lit up with fairy lights at night is breathtaking.
The room and bathroom are beautifully furnished and very well designed, with a shady verandah out the front. (The mattress is rather firm.) We had room 1, which faces onto the river, making it very private. Just sitting and watching the river flow by is so relaxing, and then there's the pool, which is immaculate and seems to be the perfect temperature. If you want to book tours, massages, taxis or elephant sanctuaries, Evelien organises it with the greatest of ease, and she gives excellent advice too. The staff are all charming, efficient and friendly, and if you order a meal in the restaurant, it is cooked and delivered to your table incredibly quickly. We found the food very tasty, with some concession made to Western tastes in the chilli-factor. (I can highly recommend the Tom Ka Gai and the Bill and Lou cocktail shake!) Prices were extremely reasonable for both food and laundry, and wi-fi is free.
Ignore the person who gave this place a 'poor' rating. They must have had their cranky-pants on! I went for morning walks along the road and was accompanied by the very friendly resort dogs, and only occasionally met a barking dog on the main road -- none of them wanted to attack me!
We found getting to the resort very easy. We took a bus from the Southern Bus Station (Sai Tai) in Bangkok, then got off in Kanchanaburi. This cost about $4 each for a two-hour trip. We then got an open taxi to the resort, which is about 20 km from Kanchanaburi. This should be about 200 baht ($6). The trip back to Bangkok was almost as straightforward, but make sure you have the address and a map of your hotel because the taxi drivers at Sai Tai don't know every big hotel in Bangkok. Other people we met took a taxi all the way from Bangkok airport to the resort - not sure how much this would cost, but Evelien can arrange it.
Anyway, rest assured that this is a fantastic place to stay and you won't be disappointed.
(PS. There's no fitness centre - I got carried away with giving five stars!)

My bad i didn't check the location before we arrived in Kanchanaburi so was a little taken aback at the distance from the town (about 20mins and 200 baht one way trip) but magically this melted away as we immersed ourselves in this beautiful riverside resort. The bungalows are simply lovely and the staff are fantastic. The grounds are well planted and maintained and the riverside area is stunning. the food is excellent including breakfast as is the service at the restaurant and considering its somewhat captive audience is more than fairly priced. No request is to much trouble and we both left feeling refreshed and made warmly welcome especially after the owner arranged a free trip into town to attend Loi Krathrong festival on our second night. Bookings are done via email and replies are very prompt and gave us no concerns or worries.

All other 5 star reviews here are correct. If you want a place with amazing, clean bungalows in a beautiful garden, don't look any further. This was one of the best places we've stayed in Thailand.
Breakfast is served at a balcony with views on the River Kwai, what a nice relaxed place to start the day. As the resort is about 12 km from the Bridge, outside the hotel there's no other nearby place to eat. Normally we don't liked that because we want to choose between some restaurant, but now we didn't. Food was very fresh and well cooked, so we had also diner here every night during our 3 night stay.
They booked some trips and a taxi back to the Nakhom Pathon station, nothing was too much to ask for! Eveline and her husband are very friendly and helpful. We did a short bicycle tour set up by the hotel, which brings you to some nearby villages. Very nice! We also biked to the River Kwai bridge, although it's a 45 mins ride by bicycle through a somewhat busy road, we liked it very much.

Stayed for 3 nights and didn't want to leave. Says it all.

Although quite a distance from Kanchanaburi town, this lovely resort is welcoming, homely and has everything you need on site.
Evelien was unbeliveably helpful and after a stressful journey to Kanchanaburi she instantly put us at ease and staff took our luggage, put it straight into the room and gave us a cool drink. We only had a couple of nights there but wish we had booked more as it was just the haven we needed in the middle of our trip.
Although the place is very clean and beautiful, we volunteered at Elephant's World for a day and came back very dirty; nobody batted an eyelid and our key was there ready as soon as we arrived from our day out so that we could dive into the shower!
The dogs onsite were really friendly and seemed as though they were your own personal bodyguard on the porch of the bungalow!
Our food was delicious and for breakfast we had a tasty, European-style banana pancake, all next to the beautiful River Kwai and lots of lush vegetation.
As we only had limited time, Evelien arranged an air conditioned car to take us to the places we wanted to see and it wasn't that expensive. Probably by Thai standards it was but we did everything we wanted to so it was no problem at all.
During our stay, Thailand celebrated the Loi Karthong festival of light. As we sat down for dinner, we discovered a beautiful crown-shaped boat which was there for us to take to Kanchanaburi town and to float into the River Kwai. The hotel had also put on free taxis for us to join in with the festival where we spent an hour watching the celebrations and putting our little boat into the water. This was all a lovely touch and enable us to enjoy a Thai celebration/tradition.
Overall, a wonderful, clean place to stay with gorgeous bungalows, peace and tranquility and a modern, Thai environment with a European touch. We'll be back! Thanks for a fabulous stay! :)

The resort is absolutely beautiful. We arrived at night when the resort was lit up by beautifully. Going to eat breakfast by the river was even more breathtaking. The staff was very attentive and helpful. We will appreciated the page on the restaurant menu with the Thai pronunciation of things once may potentially not eat. The owners were very helpful in suggesting tours/activities in area. It was a great place to end our 2 week trip to Thailand.
