“Nice place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2014

I took a day tour from Bangkok that was including floating market and bridge on the river Kwai. Its nice place to take pictures, and check out war museum. Bridge has huge history and I m glad I went to see it.

“Somber and touristy”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 17, 2014

Hawkers everywhere and not much information provided. Its very close to town though. The atmosphere around the bridge is in stark contrast to the somberness of the history of it.

“Worth visiting”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2014

As previously mentioned, this bridge is not THE bridge but you can see several segments that are from the War and can easily see where the original bridge spanned the river. The floating restaurant next door is well worth a visit for the price and the quality.
Having lived in Bangkok for 1.5 years, we hired our favorite driver and paid for a guide for the short walk across the bridge. The information provided by the guide on the conditions and treatment of the prisoners makes life's problems pale in comparison.
Do visit the museum down the road with artifacts from the period.

“Historical Landmark”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2014

The Bridge is a Historical Landmark made famous by the 60s flick Bridge on River Kwai. Although the Bridge here is not the same as depicted in the Film, (or should i say Film depicted wrong bridge) , still It a One the most important Historical Landmarks of the World War 2. Take time to walk the bridge on both sides , have a stroll , Click Pictures and there is nothing much more to do here.

“A lovely bridge with a troubled past...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2014

There is a floating restaurant just to the right of the bridge that offers lovely views and great photo opportunities of this historic site. A small market area near the bridge in the late afternoon and early evening...most tour companies will drop you here at the end of a tour. However, in the evening the photos of the bridge dancing over the water won't be as lovely as if you'd gone during mid day.
