“Short Visit required”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

Following trips to the Kanchanaburi Cemetery and the Burma Railway Museum, this should be your next stop - if only for a photo opportunity and to walk over the bridge.
There is a train that goes over the bridge for those who'd want to, but a short walk in the heat was more than enough. There looked to be a museum here as well, but we didn't go in.

However, there are a couple of guys running 'long tail' rides up and down the river, for a small fee I would suggest you give this a go - a cool change, a bit of scenery and fun.

“Another must see in Thailand.”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

You can not go to Thailand and not see this. There is a lot of history behind this bridge, so study-up beforehand, or after you've visited. You will never forget this experience.

“not long there long enough”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

great to see the bridge however we combined it with the floating markets and tiger temple therefore we didnt have much time. twenty minutes if that, we were supposed to do the war museum and didnt end up going there. however if i could do it again i would do the train experience over the bridge, war museum and graves.

“Good photo opportunity”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

A good photo opportunity and one of the main attractions. Not the original of course. Makes you realise how accurate the bombers had to be though. Lots of tourists walking over the bridge. Not for those unsteady on their feet or uneasy looking through the gaps in the bridge. Lots of cafes and restaurants and toilets near by.

“Nice but touristy”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

The bridge is nice and it is great that people can walk over it and take all the pictures they like. Visit in the morning to avoid the rush of tourists from buses and the bridge can be easily biked to from most guesthouses.
