“Go At Night”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

During the day the bridge is mobbed by tourists and day trippers, and the approaches are awash with all manner of stalls and vendors. At night there is virtually nobody around, plus there is a very effective light show with the brisge spans changing through all colours of the rainbow.

“Worth a look”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

If you're into history, and you're in Kanchanaburi, you'd be nuts to not see it. Apart from the historical aspects, it's also a lovely view. We stopped at the floating restaurant nearby for a beer and went to the market which is next to the bridge.

“Full day trip”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

Picked up at hotel at 6.20 am .Cost 18.00 baht each . Picked up by minibus and transferred to bigger comfortable coach on outskirts of Bangkok . Travelled from Bangkok towards Kanchanaburi with a short stop on the way after about an hour for refreshments / toilet etc. .Coach drops you for a short boat trip up the river to the bridge where you have about an hour . to look around and perhaps have a photo taken feeding the Leopard nearby !!!!!!
Whisked off in the bus to a riverside Thai Restaurant for free lunch .You only pay for drinks .Back on the bus to take a train ride 3rd class back to meet the bus .Head back towards Bangkok meet up and transfer back to the hotel at 19.30 after being stuck in traffic jams in Bangkok . All in all a fantastic experience and not overpriced at all
