A late booking to see the River Kwai festival coupled with a national Thai holiday meant that I was a tad above my usual budget.
Staff weren't very welcoming but my spacious garden bungalow more than made up for it.
Free WiFi,lovely swimming pool, TV, fridge and aircon.
Terrific setting and there are "river raft" rooms as well. About halfway between Bus station and the bridge itself. Kanchanaburi is a long spread out town so you are never going to be close to evrything.

We were staying at the guesthouse next door to Noble Night when a lady approached us on the street asking if we needed a place to stay. She was offering a twin room with breakfast for 750 baht/night. We were not very happy with the place we were staying so decided to check it out. Its gorgeous once you get behind the building to the actual guesthouse. Very nice greenery and new swimming pool and bar area. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Only noticeable issues: Swimming pool fills up fast and bar area never really seemed open, we ordered a drink there once and came back around 7 pm for dinner and couldn't find anyone to serve us. We stayed during the weekday and it was fairly quiet.

We arrived at night and asked to see a room. The man at reception just pointed to a brochure, and seemed pissed when we physically asked to see the room. Of course it looked nothing like the picture in the brochure. But we were too tired to look anywhere else.

We were only given the choice of 1 room, even though there were more available. It cost 650Baht right on the river. The room barely had enough room for 2 people to be in there at once, although it was clean. The bathroom on the other hand had mould growing up the walls. The TV had 187 cable channels, and only the ASEAN tourism channel was in English. We thought the pool would be a draw card because it is so hot in Kanchanaburi, but because none of it is shaded, if you don't swim before 8am it feels like swimming in a hot bath. Not very refreshing.
That night we could not sleep because the walls were so thin that we could hear the couple next door's conversation well into 1am.

Also, a group of men who had obviously come to the area for the sex tourism, had a group of Thai prostitutes come back with them late at night, and they all decided to jump into the river near the rooms and conduct their business there. Not a great place to bring children!

Overall, it's not worth the money, you could find better in town for less, maybe just not with a pool.

Good value guesthouse, quiet location near to the river, nice pool and gardens for relaxing.
Guesthouse is close to several bars and restaurants and approx 10-15 min walk down to the bridge over the river, I had a superior room on the first floor which included breakfast in the cafe at the front of the guesthouse, basic food but reasonable quality. Kanchanaburi is a great town with plenty to see and do , it is one of the places I will go back to when I visit Thailand again.

This is a small guest house which is only a 15 minute walk to the bridge over the river kwai.
The rooms are basic and the breakfast has a limited choices of food ( 4 choices )
This guest house has free internet access for the guests
This hotel is good for back packers and it is ideal for people who don't want to spend too much for the night. We paid 750 Thai Baht for two, includes breakfast and a on suite showroom room. To get in to the main city from this hotel would take 10 minutes by Tuk Tuk.
