Staff has to be trained at this place. It seems like they don't care about you, but I think it's just because they are not experienced, since there's a lot of young people working there. The place has a great location, food for a reasonable price (you can get things cheaper in the street, but sometimes you're just too lazy to go there, so it's worth it eating there) and the room is more then enough for a two nights stay. Highly recommend!

Room Tip: Try to get the bungalows in the front side, the cheapest rooms for 70B are extremely hot!

I could rent a motorbike
cheap 200 baht
shower (dont know why one would want a hot shower in Thailand)
Toilet
bed and fan remember aircons make you sick
Cold beers and ice available
For the rest used outside bars and restaurants so cannot comment on that side
But as a place to crash after exhausting days or nights at nearby pubs or attraction ideal as it's location central to everything
From what I sawlovely riverside garden with hammocks available
Judging by amount of people using the restaurant area could not have been that bad BUT there is so much to do in kanchanaburi markets and sights that jolly frog is ideally located for and at cost can spend more money out and about

The Jolly Frog is an awesome place to stay while visiting kanchanburi. it is located right on the river kwai and has an awesome atmosphere with great prices and friendly staff. enjoy the awesome sunsets while laying on the hammocks in the lawn area. Close to the famous bridge over river kwai and right near the main nightlife area of kanchanburi. Also have an excellent resturant with both thai and western foods

This place was a wonderful place 15 years ago, but now they are super rude and think of them selfs as higher beeings. You could sit for 20 minutes waving the menu around before they take your order, and when they do its like they are very rude. The rooms are dirty and full of old english german and french people usually with thai one night girlfriends and they make a lot of noise. I got my walls shaking a few times from next door and on top of me. Its full of trashy flashpackers which drink until sunrise so no beauty sleep to think of. Generally, its really a bad place. The rooms are 200 baht, which is the same as the hotels next door, and across the road, where it is actually nice, and with hot showers, which you dont get at jolly frog, unless you spend 450 baht.

Very nice environment to stay, that's the big plus of this place. The riverside with the terraces and flowers is just beautiful. Stayed in one of the cheapest rooms. It was okay, beds a little bit dated and they didn't appear to be very clean. Shower was okay, but cold. At night a lot of noise because of the frogs in the river, maybe that's why they named it the jolly frog, haha. The staff was just ignorant. If we wanted to order something it always took a while before they even noticed us and if you're in a hurry for breakfast, don't expect them to be served fast.

Room Tip: Maybe you should pay a little bit more to get a nice bed, but I can't confirm anything about the beds in the more expensive rooms
