Was here for 2 nights on a business trip.

Stayed in the the Beach Village room which has a balcony facing the sea. However, the stretch of beach outside the room is common and could not keep window shades open as there are people walking outside. Will suggest to request for Room 504 as it is on the furthest end of the hotel property and has more privacy.

The bed is comfortable and the air-condition works perfectly. The simple local dessert that is provided every night is also a nice touch by the hotel.

Breakfast was ok but do not have as much variety as other Thailand hotels (which usually has a bigger buffet spread).

Overall, nice little resort for relaxing.

We stayed in Rest Detail for 4 evenings for our Honeymoon (22-26 Oct). 3 nights in Rest Horizon Room & 1 night in Pool side. Personally, I prefer the Horizon Room more than the Pool side even though Pool side is higher category.

Location:
2.5 hr drive from Bangkok airport, and the signs are clear. Not difficult to find. Close to Hua Hin local excitements. The hotel itself is right by the shore, and it is quiet and away from the busy street. Parking is also available for free, and they have a very big parking lot.

Staff:
Excellent staff in the entire resort, no complaints!

Spa:
The Spa is ABSOLUTELY relaxing and very very spacious and clean. We loved the spa music so much that we wanted to purchase a CD, unfortunately, they don't have it for sale. (Rest Detail Hotel should consider this a new product!!)

Food:
Breakfast is great and they change part of the menu every day. Sitting outside with the sun for a morning breeze it's nice and no flies.
The afternoon tea set is also great. Particularly the panna cotta and the cheesecake. The only bad item on the set is the chocolate cake. Even though it is moist, it didn't have enough chocolate taste.
We received a complimentary dinner for 2 as a compensation for the pool side room is NOT ready for us for the 3rd night (hence we stayed in the Rest Horizon for 3 nights instead of 2). We chose the seafood menu and thai menu to share and the portion is simply GIGANTIC!!! We were so full that we have to ask them to send the dessert to our room for later.
Again, no complaints!!!

Rooms:
We loved the Rest Horizon Room! the outdoor jacuzzi is just perfect. Unfortunately, it could be a bit cold in the evening to dip into the water. However, if we had time to take a soak in the day time, I am sure it would be perfect!

Hotel Amenities:
Travellers, please bring your own toothbrush & toothpaste.
Their shower gel and shampoo not really my cup of tea and we end up purchasing shampoo and shower gel at the 7-11 across the hotel. Other amenities are good. No worries.

Additional comment:
On a daily basis, when they clean our rooms, they will refill the peanut candies (which I emptied daily as it's so delicious!!!) and provide u with a sweet pastry, and different type every day! I'm very impressed by this sort of small details as it treats the guest with a warm heart and with passion. I felt that RDH staffs are determined to make your stay pleasurable and memorable.
We also made a remark with the travel agent that we are honeymooners and the 1st night we checked in to Rest Details, they have a honeymoon cake (1/2lb - 1lb? don't know, it's BIG for 2 person) as a gift for us. We were surprised.

Thank you RDH and we enjoyed our honeymoon very very much! We sure will want to return to Hua Hin and stay in RDH again. =)

Came to Rest Detail Hotel for pure relaxation and we got what we wanted. The decor has a Monkey theme which is cute. The white simple decor makes it clean and ease the eyes. When we got nto our room we love the fact that it's big king size bed with a good lie down sofa very comfy feeling and outside is a round day bed to sun bath and our very own private jacuzzi. Our 3 rooms were the same and the view overlooking to the see. At night we watch the stars and morning watch the sunrise. We spend our time in the room because its so comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast was wonderful too. Attentive staffs, polite and it's great!

I stayed in the Rest Horizon room and was impressed by the decoration, theme color and the fact that there is a private jacuzzi and the big daybed in the front balcony facing the sea. It is especially nice to stay on the full moon night because the full moon at Hua Hin is one of the nicest. You can enjoy soaking in jacuzzi any time you want, watching the sea..also they provide a sea salt scrub in a small package. The bed is located in the middle of the room, it is very comfortable one. When you wake up the sun is right at your feet. There is an ipod deck in the room and ipod you can borrow from the reception, it is filled with quality music.

The bathroom amenities is excellent! they use famous thai herbal brand for bath and aroma product "Erb"

The breakfast room is rather small but full of good quality breakfast. You can order any kind of egg you'd like, the waiter will ask you at your table then you can assist yourself getting juice and other stuffs.

I could say that the people at the hotel tries their best to response promptly to your request and when the mistake does occur. They really take action. I came with my mother and sister, we requested extra pillow and the light at the jacuzzi was off....we waited for an hour...which is considered long time after a call. When the staff came to fix the request, he apologize and what happened on the next day is a reception informed us they wouldn't charge for an extra person to restore our satisfaction. It did work because we didn't expect anything beyond simply apology.

In conclusion, excellent hotel design, nice lighting in the room, nice breakfast, nice staff.....everything you expect of a great 5 star brand.

Room Tip: Rest Horizon, you will not be disappointed, every room faces the sea and has own private jacuzzi on...

We stayed here for two whole lovely weeks In April/May 2012.
Very warm welcome with a ncice glass of iced tea. We had chosen the Rest detail Hotel on recommendation from Trip Advisor and our travel broker who suggested this would be better due to being close to the town but not too close that you get all the hussle and bussle. The transfer from the Bangkok International is approx 3 and a half hours and does seem to take forever but you also get to see alot of culture in the way, from the rice paddy fields to enormous statues. We opted for a Room with a private Jacuzzi and it was perfect, over looking the sea but not being overlooked ourselves. If you go for a jacuzzi room make sure its not overlooking the swimming pool as we can see what your doing up there from down here ;-). The Staff are very Attentative and speak some english, if in doubt ask jeeves, brilliant guy who can speak the best english in the hotel. the Spa is very nice if you do not wish to go into town for some authentic thai massages. we did both and to be honest the ones in town where 250 baht or 5 GBP per person and you couldnt faulter them for an hours relaxation, the hotel worked out about 30 pounds per person for the hour. The Happy hour..... well that was mainly put on for Us brits i assume as we were the only ones there drinking and taking in the offer after a hard days sunbathing by the pool. The food is very very nice.. breakfast... lots to choose from.. lunch (we had frrom the menu by the pool.. i recommend the pad thai.. pretty light lunch but enough for two (or just me on occasion). the pool service is very good, no life guard on duty by the way but hardly warranted it as we people only went in to cool off. Brits are of a minority at the hotel, the ratio was about 14 brits to a hotel of japanese and chinese week holiday goers. Hua Hin its self is alovely town, plenty to see and do.. although the railway station that they said go to really is dissappointing, i was expecting i guess a little too much but it is really just a train station...., tour wise we went to the elephant park and had a ride, was something that i guess is a once in a lifetime adventure but we felt sorry for them having us on their backs. wasnt as elegant as you think. We took a boat trip to monkey island, a good full day on a boat with about 12 ppl, did a little fishing, didnt eat the catch as the boat master kept them to sell and up his wages for that day. monkey island, be warned these little blighters will jump all over you and pinch anything not attached to you so if you dont like contact then you could always stay on the boat, they arent nasty but are used to tourists coming and expect food and drink off you.. and then they will proceed to pinch your bottle. It was a very long day out but worth seeing. I would suggest that you contact a local taxi, thru reception and just hire him for a day approx 20 GBP and he will dirve you where-ever you want rather than organising it thru the rep who makes a massive commision, we save approx 80 Pounds doing this and doing the sights by taxi at a time suited to us. Back to the hotel, the room was amazing, fresh bedding everday unless you didnt want it, and some sweet fondants/goodies each night when you return to your hotel with a nice towel creature on the bed. As it was our honeymoon we got a little chocolate cake and some wine to kick things off. the room seems huge, nice tv for when your burnt and needing shade for a siesta before commencing a night out in Hua Hin. Free transport to the town and depends how late you stay out you can grab it back if your an early bird or grab a tuk tuk and dice with death.. only kidding its amazin and for about 200-250 baht get back whenever you want, there are always plenty around. always barter wwith them, they will try and get 400 baht out of you and they know thats way too much, but hey your a tourist. The themed evenings in the hotel are very nice, some good bands playing in the grounds of the hotel as you dine by the pool, be aware if you get too close tot he pool you may get the odd nip from a mozzy but we didnt see many. We met lots of nice couples out there and had a jacuzzi party to the annoyance of reception but its not a noisy hotel at all, if sometimes a little too quiet. there were no european kids there as we were assured it was an adults only hotel, then the weekenders came with an abundance of japanese children runnign around but you only see them in the morning for a few hours then the familys all go out. I cannot rate this place enough, it was perfect for us and everyone who stayed here agreed. Point to note the beach .... well i was warned it was jellyfish season and i was not dissapoiinted, the beach was strewn with them, as i did alot of beach running whilst i was there it was pretty hairy jumping over them all washed up from the previous night. tbh we didnt miss the beach one bit, the sun loungers ont he bit of sand at the end of the pool area was enough to make it feel like you were on a beach. I shall be uploading pictures shortly. I would recommend this to everyone, as its not very tourist heavy it hasnt had such price inflations as other more popular islands and towns have been subjected to. lovely night market to grab a few bargains and souvenirs, the restaurants behind the markets are a nice cheap and cheerful way to dine and if you go... make sure you have a chang!!!! 6.5% of pure lovely beer that hits the spot everytime and as its locally brewed, its cheaper than the imported stuff. win win. If you have any questions please feel free to ask away. we did plenty of exploring or the towns bars, met lots of nice scandinavian and locals who like playing pool, we tried as many activities as we could of which i probably have forgotten to wirte about here. there are some very nice beachside restaurants inbetween the hotel and the town which need booking at reception and cost about 100baht from the twon centre to get to, we had the most romantic meal and cost us 20 pounds for a three course meal and plenty of beer., anyways i have waffled on for far toolong, I loved this place.

Room Tip: Always go for your own jacuzzi....... it makes the holiday!

We were very satisfied with this hotel, i can not think of anything negative about it, realy. The service is a clear priority for the staff, which is very helpful. We chose a pool village hut, and it was simply amazing. The rooms are wonderful and the pool magnificent. We have tried a number of hotels, this one we will always remember.
