Indeed you will rest at this beautiful property. It's quiet, scenic and with beautiful golf courses around the area.

We traveled from Bangkok not expecting much for this hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted with the view of the swimming pool towards the sea.....I knew this would be one of those relaxing hotels.

Although we only stayed overnight, the impression it made on me would last a lifetime...The staff was courteous, hotel breakfast delicious. ..need I say more?? I will post more reviews for this property when return for a longer stay.

All the comments are true. It’s a boutique hotel, so it only has a pool , a spa, one restaurant and one breakfast area. The décor gives you a homely feel, and the staff are most helpful and responsive. Like many other contributors, we stayed at the Horizon room with our own jacuzzi.
The beach at Hua Hin is very narrow, and the beach in front of us is quite swampy. No one swims there, but one can still enjoy walking on the stretch of soft sand. The beach and the hotel face east. You can enjoy the sun rise, but no sunset.
The only flaw is the 3-per day only shuttle service. And it leads you nowhere on foot, not to mention the many strayed dogs in Hua HIn. The good thing about Hua Hin is that although the tuk tuk taxis have no meter, they always quoted B150 or B200 for going to the Market Village or Clock Tower from the hotel, which are about 15 min. away from the hotel.
If you want to relax and stay away from the crowd, this is the place!
One last tip- Hua Hin is flooded by tourists Fri- Sun. If possible, do what we did – go there on weekdays.

Room tip: Make sure you ask for a room facing the sea or the pool

I have stayed at this hotel both in 2010 and 2011 and have been remiss in writing a review. This is an excellent small hotel in Hua Hin. Privately-owned, you can see the level of detail the owner had in its development and especially in its upkeep. The staff are also excellent - friendly, responsive, with some of the best housekeeping I have experienced at any hotel. The rooms are spotless, large and most have great views over the Gulf of Thailand. The Horizon rooms are especially relaxing with a jacuzzi situated on the deck which overlooks the Gulf.

I would highly recommend this hotel in Hua Hin for a relaxing vacation. The only drawback is the location and lack of decent beach. However, town center is not far from the Hotel at all.

Lovely stay at the Rest Detail. One of the best designed hotels I have stayed in.

Horizon rooms have a stunning view out over the sea exactly like the photos on tripadvisor

Could not fault the food of service apart from at breakfast when it was a hit or miss if you received what you asked for. The staff did not have great command of English unlike in other Hua Hin hotels we visited

Only other fault was location. You could not walk into the town and only 3 shuttle buses each day

Positives are the hotel is breathtakingly beautiful and the most relaxing place I have visited

Visit hear if you want a relaxing time in great surroundings.

Loved the place

The hotel is beautiful and spotlessly clean. We had a Rest Horizon room which had a jacuzzi on the balcony and stunning views of the Gulf of Siam. The room is exactly as it looks in the pictures on the website. Large airy and well equipted. The pool area is also great and the restaurant serves great food poolside. The only downside to staying here is it is quite far out of Hua Hin and not on the main road. We did realise it was not in the centre of town when we booked it but thought it was within walking distance. The hotel does have a courtesy bus which drops you at a choice of two locations in town but this only opertated at 11.00am, 6.00pm and 8.00pm. If this had operated on perhaps an hourly basis location would not have been so much of an issue. The road to the main road was lined by packs of dogs. We counted 21 one evening on our way back to the hotel by Tuk Tuk so walking wasn't really a consideration for this reason also. The breakfast was adequate however the staff in the breakfast room were not as efficient as those in the rest of the hotel and regularly got orders mixed up or forgot them altogether. Compared to other hotels I saw in Hua Hin including the Putahrasca the Rest Detail is by far one of the nicest hotels howeverIif I returned to Hua Hin I would probably consider a property nearer to town unless the courtesy bus operated on an hourly basis.
