Decided to give this a chance after reading the last review. The interior is very clean and the staff very friendly. We had the squid, spinach tarts and mixed dips to start which where lovely. Then we came to the mains which where only fit for the bin. My salmon was not cooked and had to send it back. I was still unable to eat to. My husband had the keftiko which was just lamb chops in tin foil cooked in lemon. He was unable to eat it as the meat was so tough. Our daughter had the pork skewers which where also tough. The staff asked if we wanted to change our meals but by that time we didn't want anything. They took the price of the klefiko of the bill but even then it came to over 2500baht. Really sorry not to be able to recommend as they have put a lot of work into the place.

I didn't get any photos of the food, but I should've. Still, I wanted to stop an recommend this place. Hua Hin, like a lot of beach tourist towns with visitors who come once, if ever, and never reappear, is full of a lot of ethnic cuisines that aren't very good, frankly. I've been going for about a decade and most of the various ethnic/national cuisines are pretty meh.

Greek Taverna is a quite new entrant in the local food scene and it's impressive, even has a real Greek owner, which is always a big plus. We arrived near closing time, but the staff were very accommodating and served us really helpfully. We found them to be lovely.

When it comes to the food, the dolmades had the flavor down really good - though were a little clumpy from being in the fridge all day it seemed like (can't say for sure, just a guess). Still, they were pretty impressive. The kolokithokeftedes were great and the fresh cucumber sauce they came with was very refreshing. The spinach pies in their delicate pastry crusts were the highlight for sure - something I didn't expect. Really top notch. The wine was also affordable, but still not too bad - something that's hard to hit as a sweet spot in Thailand with its hilarious wine duties.

The only small issue was with the "greek potatoes" which were straight out of the bag french fries. They really should be homemade wedges with the paprika and everything. Still, don't let this mar an otherwise very positive review.

Go. The food is legit good and the place is nice and, as importantly, so are the staff who were lovely to deal with. Let's hope Greek Taverna makes it through the six month test for new restaurants in Thailand so we can continue to enjoy it on future trips!

The staff were inflexible, confused, and horrible at communicating. The food was bland. All of it was bland. Even the simple dishes did not taste Greek. Call the compliance officer of the Greek Cuisine Enforcement and send him/her here with a flamethrower. Please. Better yet, to make it enjoyable, bring your flamboyant Greek friends, get drunk, and watch the fireworks explode and the plates shatter.
