“Beware of naughty primates!”
Reviewed November 22, 2012

This is fun, only a few km south of Hua Hin is one of the prime attractions in town. Vendors sell fruit buckets to pass along to the monkeys up here, walk all the way down and make sure to leave some for the lactating mothers with lil' ones clinging to their belly further down. Our kid had a ball feeding them, just beware of aggressive alpha males near the entrance. We witnessed them stealing and snatching entire buckets from others.

“Monkey Mountain”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

This was our second visit to "Monkey Mountain". Its a very "different" experience. A slow walk through the fishing "village" where you can buy lots of different kinds of seafood. Then up a steep walk to a small market area beneath the monestery. There are alot of Monkies, be careful if you have any food or drink, as the Monkies will try to claim it for themselves. some of them can be quiet agressive.
You can buy a bucket of bananas to feed to them cost 50baht. An experience in itself.
Carry on walking to an open courtyard on top of a cliff with a Chinese theme. There is a Chinese restaurant and a large Chinese Pagoda with terrific sea views.
Well worth running the gauntlet of the Monkies to visit this very calming, charming place.

“Hundreds of monkeys”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Definitely worth to have a short stop there. Hundreds of hungry monkeys, you buy food for them (no need to buy large baskets as the monkeys jump on you and steal everything within 3 seconds). Be ready with your camera prior purchasing the food!!! The action is fast!!!

“Never seen so many monkeys”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

A bit scruffy but not to be missed. Monkeys everywhere and great to watch and take pictures. Also the restaurants at the bottom of the hill, fairly basic but fabulous fresh seafood
