“Pleasant Beach”
Reviewed August 22, 2014

I found the beach area pleasant enough - the beach was quite clean and free of rubbish. The water was not crystal clear - quite dirty and grey grey. I felt very safe walking the beach and there were plenty of restaurants and bars to walk up to and enjoy the scenery. The mounted cowboys on horseback were an interesting addition to the landscape - have fun!

“One long walk filled with beauty and warm waters”
Reviewed August 20, 2014

I love this beach... tide on or tide out... no matter... When the tide is out the crabs create such wonderful patterns across the beach in their furious endeavors...
I particularly like the Khao Takiab end - and back north to near the Chomview Hotel where the tide seems to create quite deep puddles. These can retain a few little fish and now and then a fishing boat is beached.
I am not so sure about the Jet-ski boys, they are a little pushy and not everybody wants to race around in circles - but hey - that is their business... Same with the "banana" boat ... I guess I am just getting old!!
At the Golden Buddha end.. sadly the little food stalls seem to have shut... pity, a bit of street food is needed here or, at least a cold drink. It was very quiet when I last visited, maybe they will reopen? I did find food on the Fisherman's creek... but few people about?
At the other end in front of the Hilton... I have enjoyed the "best" deep fried prawns in the world... Naughty I know and more so when combined with a Heineken... True luxury!!! - Here the hawkers will come to you... not that I really want to buy stuff on the beach...

Nicest beach - sure the water is not crystal clear, that just the gulf, shallow and so it gets stirred up... but the water is clean...

Huahin is very much understated - yes, people come and go. Honestly you need to stay a week or so to really "get involved" in this little community ... Get away from your hotel pool and "explore" the options... the food - cafe's - jewels - a foot massage - Svensons - even to new technology... Huahin has the lot and all without the manic nature of downtown BKK..

“Beautiful view”
Reviewed August 18, 2014 via mobile

After reading the reviews I wasn't holding out much hope for this beach. But I was pleasantly surprised to find clean white sand and idyllic views. It was a Sunday so I'd thought it would be heaving but the place was relatively quiet. I hired a sun bed which was a bit pricey at 100 baht compared to Suan Son Pradipat beach, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Definitely worth a visit for a calm and relaxing day.
