“Expansive Food at Hua Hin Beach”
Review of Hua Hin Beach

Reviewed January 11, 2014

Becareful when ordering food at Hua Hin Beach. My group ordered Papaya Salad - "Som Tam Kung Soot", fried fish cake, glass noodle with prawns -"Yam Moon Cent", 2 small bottles of Beer Singha, and 1 bottles of Heineken. Total cost is Baht 1490...
For the price, I would suggest to go to Seafood restaurant (Sopa Seafood) to get a better bargain.

Anyway the place is overpriced. To swim in the sea, i suggest to goto other beaches nearby as the water is much cleaner.

We stayed at the hilton hotel which is in the centre of Hua Hin and has direct access to the beach. The beach shacks start immediately outside the Hilton and provide food all day until 1800hrs. Brilliant authentic Thai food in rustic old shacks but very tasty and cheap. The sea tides do restrict access near the Hilton but if you don't mind getting your feet wet then no problem and the shacks will be serving food even if the water is lapping up to the shacks. They will offer you sun beds for buying a bottle of beer and table & chairs set up in the sea if you want it so that you can enjoy the sun and sea while eating a brilliant meal, seriously, enjoy the water lapping around your toes, may cool you down after so much chilli!!!!!. There are many vendors offering massage, hair braids, tshirts, horse riding, etc etc. further up the beach you can kite surf, but you can walk for a couple of miles as the beach gets wider further up and you can stop off at more beach shacks or walk the whole beach and stop for lunch at the far end of the beach. The sea is quite rough but not crashing in, young kids can paddle very safely and good swimmers do not have a problem.

We decided to take a walk along the stretch of beach but didn't bargain for the amount of horse manure. I have read so many reviews saying how nice and clean it was. Maybe I was on the wrong beach.

Its an average beach during winters because of high tide. We saw people fishing on the beach which was good. We walked around and most places there was no beach. We ate at few restaurants there which was good.

Hua Hin beach is 8km of beautiful sandy beach. Beach is very safe so ideal for nervous swimmers and young children. We were delighted to see how clean and uncrowded it was.
