“lovely clean beach”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

We stayed in the Hilton Hua Hin and walked up the beach daily for around 2 miles. The sea is very clean, although beware of Jelly Fish if you swim. There are beautiful horses for those who want to ride up the beach

“I feel slightly let down!”
Reviewed November 6, 2013 via mobile

A lot of the beach is covered in black which I guess is from the oil spill a few months ago. Nothing seems to be being done about it. Rubbish everywhere and too many street vendors, sunbeds, cafés, etc. if you want a peaceful beach then go somewhere else! If Hua Hin is a must, then go to the sandy area near the Centara hotel as that is the nicest part. Be careful in the sea as there is sharp rocks and the water is not good

“Nice white sand beach”
Reviewed October 30, 2013

The Hua Hin beach is a nice white sand beach and not so crowded. It's the city for the Royal resort palace too. The night market is also close to the main beach & city center. Lots & lots of sea foods at reasonable price to try.

“If you like solitude, this is not the place for you!”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

It depends what you like, doesn't it? The walk down to the beach is past stalls. They are not pushy but the walk is not pleasant. The beach is usually crowded, and the sand not particularly splendid. Sometimes there are jelly fish. Just watch for them when they are in season. If you fancy a ride down the beach, lovely beautifully kept horses are available to ride. Sometimes beach masseuses offer their services. Food is readily available from vendors and stalls. It's hustle and bustle and lots of fun, but certainly not a place for peace and quiet.

“Beware of vendors ripping you off”
Reviewed October 27, 2013 via mobile

We were on the beach and ordered a few snacks. The bill was about 200 baht. We did not have the exact change so gave the woman a 1000 baht note. The woman took our note and said she needed to get change. She took off to some neighbouring stall and returned a few minutes later with a change. At this point she denied having received a thousand baht from us and asked us to pay the bill again. My wife and I were astonished and felt sick! After some arguing, we decided to giver her the 200 baht and walked off. Please make sure you carry change with you and do not hand over the money o the vendors in similar situations. The 200 baht snack cost us 1200 baht. Very cheesed off.
