Hotel is well located, easy 10-15 minute walk to beach, shopping, bars etc. Small night market next door is ok.
Staff are generally very helpful but hotel itself is a bit dated. Looks like it would have been one of the first multi storey buildings in Hua Hin. Rooms are cleaned daily and the pool is good but the negatives are the shower over the bath which floods the floor and the breakfast which doesn't change from one day to the next.
Is probably reasonable value though for what you are paying.

Rooms are clean and tidy great room rate 1300 baht
Large swimming pool great for relaxing
Location ideal right next to local night market great for cheap food and drink only a 10 minute walk into Hua hin centre or new Tesco Lotus supermarket complex

I stayed in Hua Hin Grand Hotel for 3 nights last October. Location is perfect, next to the night market.
Rooms are clean and the view from the window is great. The hotel features a big swimming pool.
Breakfast buffet is not really special, but okay.

The friendliest people and some good price, even Thais like to stay here. As breakfast is included, the ample buffet will offer you lots of eggs, fruit & all the rice, bread or cereals you need to get on your way. It's within walking distance from Hua Hins beautiful beaches and it boasts that great evening market, where you can dine or sample trinkets, shoes & necessities. And when your craving real niceties you won't easily find elsewhere, the Village Market is around the corner.
The 25 meter pool offers fresh water, free beach towels and sunshades and umbrellas when wanted, granted with that well meant Grand & Plaza smile. And for less than 1500 THB/night you're bound to be back!

Room tip: Have a seaview room and enjoy the view.
