Very good food, nice atmosphere, great service. Don't miss the spicy oyster salad, fried fish, fried calm with basil sauce. In fact, everything there was really good.

“Absent service and no management of staff”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2014

In the land of mai-pen-rai (not-to-worry) you can usually shrug off a more relaxed approach to service. So we didn't think much of it when we weren't given the table we'd been promised when we booked earlier in the day, or when the ordering process took a bit of effort, or even when we were told that of the two draught beers you could order one (Heineken) by the jug but not the other (Hoegaarden). Our party of seven was piled into a table for five to accommodate our original request, and we settled in to enjoy a good meal in good company. When food started arriving before drinks, and no rice arrived with the food, we issued gentle reminders. Little did we know that well over an hour later there would still be no rice, despite asking our server five times. Ditto the crab we ordered. Ditto the vegetables. We heard all kinds of excuses, including that they were out of rice on a busy night and cooking more. If that were the case, they could have made a point of not serving rice to tables around us. Out of crab and making another batch? Sure. Except that we ordered stir-fried (and therefore made to order), not steamed. No phak boong? Well, how about suggesting another vegetable rather than leaving us waiting? The last straw was when I called the server over for the fifth time and he stood impassively by the table. I asked if there was some problem and he looked blank. So for the fifth time we reminded him of our missing order. He shuffled off, came back and asked if we'd be willing to wait for them to come out. An hour and forty-five minutes after we arrived at the restaurant, we declined and called it a night.

There were highs and lows in what food we did get. The clay pot mussels (a misnomer because they were served in a metal pan) were simply steamed with aromatic herbs, juicy and tasty. The fried seafood salad was heavily breaded fast-food style and served with thin mayonnaise. The house specialty, seafood dishes in their own version of Thai basil pesto, was tasty, but lacked zing. It certainly lacked the wow factor that would have taken some of the bad taste the experience left in our mouths.

“Nice Evening”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2014

My Thai wife had a friend in Hue Hin she used to work with. My wife's friend along with the friend's sister took us to this restaurant our first night in Hue Hin. The restaurant is a little far probably to walk from town but the friend's sister had a car. Before picking us up they drove to the restaurant to make sure we would have a front row table at the sea wall overlooking the beach, the sea and the 4 naval ships with their lights out on the bay to protect the King at his nearby palace.

Turned out to be a good choice. All the food was very good, the evening was very pleasant for sitting outside. We arrived after dark and there was a nice just right breeze off the sea. The prawns were huge and cooked just right in the dish we had with the glass noodles. All around, a very good dinner and would return.

“Good place in Hua Hin”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 16, 2014

We were recommended this place in the hotel we've stayed as a good seafood restaurant loved by locals. For me it was the best food experience in Hua Hin. The seafood was fresh and the service was also good.

“Stunning food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2014

What a great restaurant, and fantastic location. The meal we had was totally delicious. We shared about 6 dishes between us and they were all really good. Their speciality dish of prawns cooked in basil sauce was amazing. Cant wait to return one day.
