This hotel was a total disappointment and I have nothing good to say about it. It is a shame because when visiting Hua Hin we usually stay at the karoon guesthouse which is opposite and owned by the same man. Knowing that we usually enjoy our stay at karoon we thought that victor guesthouse would be to the same standard and as karoon was full, it be worth a try. We were horribly wrong and glad we only needed the room for sleeping in, although that wasn't even a pleasant experience.

We had booked two standard fan rooms on Agoda which we paid for at the time of booking. When we arrived at the hotel, the lady took us to the two rooms but told us she only had left one room with an en suite bathroom so the other room would have to use the shared bathroom. That was the first let down.

By this time it was gone 10pm so all we really wanted to do was sleep. The beds in both rooms were awful. They were hard as rock and had uncomfortable springs sticking out all over them. This aside, we tried to sleep but the room next door decided it was a good time to watch the hobbit. How did we know it was the hobbit? Because it was loud enough that we could hear every word clearly. Baring in mind that this was a 3 hour film, we didn't sleep very well at all. Mixed with that noise was also the noise of the other guests using the shared bathroom and slamming the doors loudly.

The following day we tried to use the shower in the shared bathroom. The fixture to hold the shower head to the wall was broken which meant you had to hold it or leave it hanging. As well as this, the water which should have been hot was stone cold, even when turned all the way up. The water coming out of the sink tap was hotter! Also in the bathroom, the toilet flush worked only intermittently which meant standing there and pressing it multiple times until it worked.

All in all, this was one of the worst places I have ever stayed. I would not recommend it and I will not stay there again.

Stayed here many times and it is the best value for money guesthouse in Hua Hin in my opinion.

The staff right through from the boss, to the cashiers to the cleaners are superb and can't do enough for you.

The rooms are great and the location is perfect for beach and nightlife (2 minute walk to either)

Have recommended to many friends and nobody ever has anything but good things to say about it!

Can't wait to get back there soon!

Room Tip: Get the rooms at the back if you want a quiet stay!

Nice staff, free DVD rental, possible to rent motorbikes, close to the beach, located in a authentic street & good price.

Almost impossible to sleep at night! I had a room with balcony at the street site, all night long a lot of noise...

We had a lovely room at the back of the hotel in the old thai style house. Although the room was nice I feel the prices were a little steep for a fan room. The power went out 3 times on the first night which left us feeling hot and agitated and it was pitch black in the hotel. The staff didn't come and light candles or anything or let us know what was going on. Also it was quite noisy with other guests in the rooms above. Of course this is expected in an old house but it can be annoying when you are sleeping late at night. It was a shame the bar wasn't stocked as it would have been a nice area to sit at night. So much could be done with this hotel but the rooms were clean and MOST members of staff were pleasant. There was one lady who was extremely rude and gave me filthy looks every time I walked past. Large older lady with short hair look out for her! I probably wouldn't stay here again but it wasn't a bad experience.

The guesthouse is nicely located in Hua Hin. And the rooms are good especially for that price. Just the matras is really hard. You should bring an inflatable matras if you really like a soft bed. Other than the matras it's really a nice place with friendly staff in a nice beach town.

You get what you pay for.
The rooms and bathrooms are basic, old and not the cleanest.
Unfortunately Hua Hin is invested with cockroaches in plague proportions (including the flying type). If you are planning a stay in Hua Hin, change your plans now as it's not worth a visit!

This guesthouse has two locations. We stayed in the new location because the rooms at the reception were a bit outdated and shabby. Our room was in a separate new building in an ally nearby. Very quiet and very clean. Great location close to the pier. Very friendly staff who arranged a taxi for a daytrip, we were able to store our bicycles and they even lent us 500 baht for a taxi. They gave us a very good deal on our room so it was worth every penny (baht). Great choice for Hua Hin.

Room Tip: Go for the new building.
