We have stayed many times in Hua Hin (one of our sons lives in Bangkok), and we have stayed at various locations. There were only 2 TA reviews when we booked this hotel. The others since have reinforced the earlier reviews.
We wanted somewhere clean, comfortable and central and Baan Klang ticked the boxes. Some niggles but, after all this is Thailand and this is a small central hotel. We are very pleased with our choice. Ten minutes stroll to night market, fifteen to Poonsuk Road ( the eating street).
Sw miming pools were adequate. Not enough furniture, but there were only a couple of days when the pool areas were full.
The re have been negative comments on breakfast. Yes, if you got there at the wrong time the fried eggs did look less than appetising, but they would always cook something for you individually - turned over eggs, boiled eggs, omelette, bacon etc. Good to see both western and Asian choice. Fruit selection. The guy we called the breakfast manager had decent English and was very pleasant and helpful.
Rooms cleaned daily and all had separate lounge area, so very good value at an average high season cost of THB1,500 a night inc breakfast. We had one morning with no hot water, but someone was sent within five minutes of our allot reception and was fixed immediately.More
