The first golf course in Thailand is situated just behind Hua Hin railway station and then drifts out into the hills far and away from it all and in with the local monkeys, who appear on a couple of the holes and may even try and steal your balls. I got my first ever birdie here (a two on a back nine par three - a 160 yard 7 iron followed by a two foot putt -sorry had to mention it- it doesn't happen often!). The course should be better maintained considering its history and the greens are not as good as one would expect for Thailand, though for value, this still easily beats anything in the United Kingdom. Probably slightly under very good, however, I got my first birdie here, so that is reason enough to be kind.
