“Let down by poor service throughout”
Reviewed July 30, 2013 via mobile

Excellent location, amazing view but facilities and service is pretty poor.
The kids' club is a joke. Nothing of interest to anyone over toddler age. The regular staff member in there is lovely and does go some way to make up for the lack of decent toys or activities. However, her days off were covered by an unwelcoming dragon who sat outside the room breathing fire on anyone who dared come near so we gave it a complete miss on those days. Play stations and Wii are available but I didn't see anyone use them in the whole week I was there, probably because of the 200 baht an hour price tag. Make it 100 baht an hour and they'd have customers. The gym is OK and there's a very scary looking steam room that spat boiling water on my eight year old son's ankles.
The rooms are so so. Amazing view, nice and clean and lots of storage space. However, my shower was cold, as was the hot tap in the sink. Someone came to fiddle with it and said it was fixed, but it wasn't. Decor is dated but OK.
The Market Place restaurant has some very nice food and is reasonably priced. However, service is poor. The restaurant is deadly quiet at night. We went twice and both times we were the only customers inside. There were a few tables outside having the buffet but we were alone inside and basically had no service. We had to get up a few times to go and find some cutlery or a sauce by ourselves as the staff were nowhere to be seen. One night we ordered a trifle which they clearly didn't have so the chef cut up a piece of leftover fruit cake from breakfast, shoved 4 frozen raspberries on it and topped it with the most disgusting synthetic tasting green cream. It was probably the worst, most laughable dessert I've ever seen, and at 280 baht ++ a true daylight robbery. Still kicking myself for not refusing to pay for it.
Overall I think this will be my last visit to the Hilton. You get better service and better facilities at other hotels in Hua Hin. Novotel in Cha Am is my benchmark as a family with children, and the Hilton is not as good as there.

Awesome hotel, staff and rooms, pool with lifeguard own beach access right in the heart of Hua Hin which is well worth the 3 car journey from Bangkok. On arrival you are welcomed by staff and offered a refreshing cup of iced tea, you will be spoiled for choice at the buffet breakfast, Lunch can be enjoyed in the market cafe, pool bar or just chill on your sunbed by the pool with a themed evening meal every night along with the traditional favorites. Wheelchair access is good, ramps are a little steep and a long way for a short cut to get to the pool, but hey at least access is in place, unfortunately no ramped access to the beach and no free wifi in the hotel rooms but you do get free WiFi in the hotel lobby. As for the town center this will leave you spoiled for choice by the number of bars and restaurants.

Room Tip: Higher the better for great views from the veranda

Returned with 3 friends for a golfing holiday. Like me they were all happy with the hotel and its bright relaxed ambience. One of my friends upgraded , at a very reasonable cost, to a suite where we used to meet. The views are beautiful from the huge balconies you get. We used go have our light lunch after golf. The room service food is very good and very reasonable that's another plus for the Hilton. You will pay just as much in the nearby restaurants. All in all another great stay for me and Hua Hin is the best for golf where courses are only 20-30 mins away.

Yes the Hotel is a little dated but it is in traditional Thai Lana style so it has a great feel. The pool and beach facilities are great and do not show any signs of dating. The breakfast was great and the service was good. You can not beat the location as you have beach on one side and restaurant and bars on the other. I am going back in November so I can say with confidence, I would recommend it. it is also fantastic for families.

We were 20 friends (10 couples) booked in for 9th and 10th July. It was one of the most wonderful stay we had on a beach property. Everything was great. All rooms have sea view. Breakfast was really lavish, we used to get tired picking up food as the spread was so big. Service was great, staff very very courteous. It could not have been better. The only thing which went wrong was on the day we were checking out there was no bell boy to get our luggage down. We had to bring ourselves. Looking at everything, that is okay. I was cool about it. The pool is beautiful and location is the best you can get in Huahin. Will surely go back and stay. Rooms were clean and big. Welcome drinks and cold towels were a treat. Thanks to all the staff.
