“Familiy Holiday”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

Went to Hyatt Hua Hin in late October, it's not the best Hyatt we have stayed in but for a Hols with Kid it does the Job. The Rooms are not very much in Local Thai style reminded me more of a Buisness Hyatt, very Basic and cold. For Kids there is a big Pool with a Sledge and the Hotel is in front of the Beach where you have Watersport activities, further the Hotel offers regular Sport or Game events and Cooking School which is nice if you want to get timeout from the wife or Kids :-) and enjoy the Pool Bar.
However the Restaurant's in Complex are average so would recomend to eat outside. Otherwise People are friendly and Service is sufficant enough. Tenniscourt would need a new surface complete broken. The best about the Hotel is the Spa absolute Top.

Dear donphilipo

Thank you for choosing to stay at Hyatt Regency Hua Hin with your family on your recent holiday to Hua Hin.

While we noted that you had a good time nevertheless, we are aware of the rooms for improvement as you highlighted. I am not sure about the average restaurant that you mention as each of them is unique with the Italian, Thai and Tapas style respectively. We will be happy to follow up should there be more details. Thank you for highlighting about the tennis court surface which will be scheduled for resurfacing within the next 2 to 3 months. In the meantime we are doing daily monitoring to ensure it remains safe to play,

We appreciate your kind comments about the service from our team members as well as THE BARAI spa.

We hope to be able to welcome you and your family back again to the resort in the near future.

Sincere regards
Sammy Carolus

As always another fabulous holiday at the Hyatt. Been coming here for five years running, and every time have not been disappointed. Have four children and the staff have looked after us always as there family. Would highly recommend anyone coming to Hua Hin to definitely stay at this resort. Big thanks to sammy the GM, and tanachai, Ben, chairat , nuk, nan, orm prakasit just to mention but a few. But all the staff make the stay so much more memorable.

Getting close to 20 visits to this beautiful hotel and it nevers disappoints and 2nd visit of 2012. The extensive and beautifully maintained gardens and the friendly staff are just a couple of the reasons I'll keep coming back. The addition of the Barai has added another dimension and is a must to try. At 100% occupancy over Xmas the staff coped admirably and never seemed flustered and as always nothing was too much trouble. This time we met up with friends from the UK and introduced their teenage daughters to the resort and they're determined it will be their post exam celebration venue in 2014. Seems to appeal to all ages and styles.

The hotel staff is great as is the hotel. The pool is a river that goes through a beautifully appointed complex. The attached spa is awesome! We had a first floor suite that was very large and private. I really like the breakfast at the regency club which is substantial as is happy hour offerings. The hotel is very clean and has kids activities all day long that look awesome. Close by is a weekend market that is walking distance and has good music.

Room Tip: Our room did not have an ocean view, because it was on the 1st floor. But had a private patio with...

Our family just finished a full week at the Hyatt Regency in Hua Hin over the Christmas Holidays. We had a great experience staying there. It is clearly the best hotel in Hua Hin for a family vacation with many activities for the entire family either at the resort or close by. The hotel staff does a fantastic job. Very friendly and service oriented. Our room was very good. The General Manager, Sammy Carolus, was excellent and I was very impressed in how he and his team ensured the hotel guests were being taken care of. I would highly recommend this Hyatt to anyone visiting Hua Hin for vacation. We hope we can come back again soon.

We stayed at Hyatt Regency HH for 7 nights over Xmas 2012, whilst visiting my parents who are semi-residents if HH. We stayed at The Regency Club.

As far as a resort experience goes it was great without having a wow factor.

We thought the service on the whole was friendly and helpful, but potentially not quite as polished as other hotels we've stayed in. For example, it was sometimes difficult to cutlery at breakfast... little things.

The rooms are spacious enough and always kept very clean.
Our room wasn't cleaned until late afternoon on one day.
Warning that the beds are very hard. To the point that my girlfriend slept on a pillow the first night. We arranged an extra soft layer the next morning which did the trick, but still quite hard. I understand hard beds are a Thai thing though, relative to Western standards.

The location being out of HH central I think is a plus. Half an hr walk along the beach to HH central or a 150 baht taxi ride.
The Buddha at the Sth end of the beach is also a half hr walk.

Poolside was always well stocked with towels, happy hour (free drinks) from 5-7 was a nice touch, and fruit/ice-cream at random times was also a nice touch.
Pretty decent club sandwich and Mai tai which are a must for a resort in my opinion.

Overall, I would recommend friends/family to stay there with no second thoughts. Not sure if there is better value elsewhere in HH.

Room Tip: take a swimming pool facing room.
