“When you feel like a good dose of western food”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

If you're tiring of Thai food then try this place. The portions are generous, the quality is good and the service is - typically Thai - close to useless.
Only food-related complaint was that the sausage was deep-fried . . . sacrilege . . . but the rest was simply delish!

“a solid German restaurant(with good Thai food also)”
Reviewed July 17, 2013 via mobile

Everytime in Hua Hin we will go here a couple of time. Although not often mentioned on tripadvisor the restaurant deserves more attention. Its in the middle of center Hua Hin, close to the Hilton. Try to get a street table and you have a nice view on all the people, scooters, tuk tuks, cars etc etc passing through the narrow street. The food is German solid, good quality with a good choice of the Geman specialities, like Frikandelle, schnitzel, curry wurst etc. Bratkartoffel the way it should be. The goulash soup is best in town.

Forget the wine list. there is something mentioned in the menu but often not available and not stored properly. Simply order a beer and if you are intrested try out one of the original German brands. If you want a glass of wine go by the class and you will get an acceptable quality.

The service is friendly but not always professional. Simply make a choice out of the menu (which is available in English/German/Thai and I guess Swedish) point it out and you will get what you order.

Pricing is very competitive and surprisingly low given the quality and the location

All in all if you think its time for a good German European meal try it out and you will not be disappointed.

“Once upon a time...”

It used to be good and popular in its previous location but since it moved off the beaten track it seems to have fallen on hard times. It's still as good but not so popular. Shame.

“Staff and food not up to a decent standard”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

Been here before when the staff, food and service was much better. Quantity at the expense of quality and staff brought an ashtray when asked for water.

“Adequate but no more”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

Restaurant was pretty full, usually a good sign which led us to dine here last night. I had the pork filet in mushroom sauce with French fries my companion the snapper filet with boiled potatoes and vegetables. Both were adequate but no more. The snapper was pronounced as tasteless as indeed was my mushroom sauce. I see no reason to dine here again as there are plenty of much better restaurants in Hua Hin.
