“Dont miss the Hua Hin Bike Tours Experience”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

I have done a longer 8 days bike tour with Hua Hin Bike tours and have only wonderful thiings to say about Chris and Gae and their staff.
Their new office in Hua Hin is lovely, all shiny and new and so are the bikes. They organise amazing trips with support and care and it is a definite must to put on your itinerary, even if you can only manage a shorter day trip.
Highly recommend this great way to see Thailand and connect with real people!

“An awesome way to properly SEE Thailand!”
Reviewed January 11, 2013

Some family and I did the Border to Beaches trip on 27th December 2012 and we absolutely loved it! The trip took us from the Burmese border 25 miles down to the coast and along some of the most pristine beautiful beaches I have ever seen in Thailand. The journey took us through countryside, towns, villages, a military base (!) and past stunning beaches and intricate temples. Cycling allowed us to see things we would normally miss.
We found the company very professional and organised, we couldnt fault them or the bikes. Our guide and driver were also really friendly and put real emphasis on making the trip what we wanted and going at our pace etc.
This was definitely one of the best, most enjoyable, exhilirating things Ive done in Thailand. I hope to go back to Hua Hin one day and that will definitely involve doing another Hua Hin Bike Tours trip!

“Wonderful way to spend a day”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

We booked the Grapes and Gears tour online before leaving the UK. The booking was all done via email with no payment required until the day. We were picked up on time by our guide and driver and were then taken to the start point, a temple about 30 mins from Hua Hin. It was just the 2 of us on the tour and so as soon as the bikes were set up and we were happy with them we were off. We cycled to the Hua Hin Vineyard and along the way saw lovely scenery and had plenty of stops with fresh fruit built in. The pace was gentle, but the guide will go at the pace you set. We wanted to enjoy the scenery and have as much of the day as possible in the countryside, so we took our time. Lunch at the vineyard is included, except wine, and you get to choose from the menu. It was really good. We felt a bit underdressed as some people had dressed up to go there, but no one seemed to notice! We then cycled a shorter route back to the temple where we had a look around before being driven back. The van was with us all the way except for about 30 minutes where the road is not good enough. The guide was excellent. He spoke great English, having lived in Australia for a while, and was interesting to talk to and find out more about Thailand both during the ride and at lunch. The trip, by Thai standards, is expensive, but definitely worth it.

“An invigorating ride on Christmas day”
Reviewed December 25, 2012

What a great way to spend a beautiful Christmas morning! It was a lovely breezy morning, not too hot. We were picked up at our hotel promptly at 8 AM by Chris and his assistant. The day began at Huay Mongkol Temple, where Chris gave us a little tour while his assistant set up our bikes. We then set off on our 33-km tour, stopping every now and then to look at the agriculture (pineapples, aloe, jack-fruit, dragon-fruit, mangoes...) and to refresh ourselves with cold, sweet pineapple and watermelon. Chris was an excellent guide, informing us not only about sights along the way but about Hua Hin and Thai culture. He took good care of us, always concerned for our safety and comfort along the way. After our ride, we had an excellent lunch at the Hua Hin Vineyard, which afforded a stunning breezy view of the vines from the restaurant, along with great food and wine. Chris threw in a bottle of wine as a Christmas gift, so we bought the second. We very highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the rural Hua Hin and enjoy the winery!

“One of the best things I have ever done in Thailand!”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

I have lived in Thailand for over ten years. I have seen a many of its beautiful and fascinating sites and cultures. I am not a cyclist, at all. But a friend convinced me to join one of Chris and Gae's tours and it truly was a great time. Chris' knowledge of the local sites that they route you through is quite impressive and his enthusiasm for the places you visit on tour really is infectious. Plus doing it on a bike you feel part of the scenery that is being detailed. Gae, your actual tour guide, is a gem, excellent knowledge of the sites and culture, history, etc very organised and makes the experience seamless from start to finish. Afterwards, I felt that I really knew that part of Thailand in a way that I cannot say about pretty much anywhere else I have visited there. My fiancee and I liked it so much and for such reasons that we decided to book them for a 5 day post-wedding tour for folks and friends coming to our wedding (especially those coming from America) next Spring. No better way to really experience Thailand in short order.
