Rod Fai seafood is located right in the heart of the bustling Hua Hin night market. The decor is themed to match the famous Hua Hin train station, and actually ends up looking quite nice.
The restaurant is incredibly popular and busy, with the staff run off their feet, so it's testament to their hard work that they manage to just about hold it together.
The barbecued seafood is fresh, tasty and cooked well - we enjoyed some great barbecued tiger prawns, red snapper and mussels steamed with lemongrass. There was a bit of a wait for the food, but not ridiculous, and to be fair we were given prior warning that there might be a bit of a wait. In the end, with this in mind, food came quicker than expected.
The bill was incredibly cheap, being around 1,500 THB (30 GBP / 50 USD) for 4 of us to eat a large amount of food and beers. A great place that we'll be sure to visit on our next Hua Hin trip.
