“Quaint place with vintage wares”
Reviewed August 21, 2011

I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with this side visit to PlearnWan. I am not one for large crowds or noisy touristy places so for me, the quietness was a welcome for me to wander around the location. It's a place to detour & not a destination attraction in its own right. The old-time record shop playing traditional Thai music together with the ice-cream shop on the 2nd floor is a must visit when you drop by this place to have a chill out.

“Thai romance and nice fifties atmosphere”
Reviewed August 10, 2011

Nice little shopping/dining area where you can spend an hour or two. Beautifully layed out and lots of photogenetic settings. It is marketed towards Thai people so there are NO english signs, but if you ask for help there will always be someone speaking enough english so that you won't leave hungry. It is really quiet during the day and busy in the evening. The toilets we saw were clean and working, but, as in the fast majority of Thai public bathrooms, have no tissue or towels, so come prepared.

“Back to the old days”
Reviewed July 27, 2011

Plearnwan is a very cute and romantic place which will definitely kill you camera memory storage. There's no entrance fee. Once you enter Plearnwan, you feel as you are back in the 60s - 70s. Shops selling goods which you can't get in 7-11, Big C, Lotus etc. It is good to visit this place once you are in Hua Hin to have a clearer view of what is it like in Thailand during the 60s-70s era. The only thing that spoilt my trip was the toilet. I think it is worst than those time. No tissue, water wasn't running and the toilet itself was dirty and limited.

“Interesting little shopping destination in old style.”
Reviewed June 13, 2011

Plearnwan is a small shopping destination build with modern techniques but it was made to look like an old street as you would find in the North of Thailand such as Chiang Khan. Just Chiang Khan is so much more real. Nevertheless it is still worth a visit. It looks nice and as usual there is also plenty to eat and drink. Don't expect to be hear for a whole day but an hour or two would be worth it.

“Extremely dull”
Reviewed June 12, 2011

Very dissapointing unless you are thai and want to see old style buildings, but just another tourist trap with money hungry thais charging 10 baht to park your motor bike in a road nowhere near the site and thais hungrily beckoning cars in to their car park to get more cash off you, then there is the hundreds of t shirt places around the place selling the usual tatt. but the owner of pleurn wun is a very good businesslady and the marketing is exceptional, busing down bangkok tourists buy the double decker bus load. so fair play to them.
