I've reserved family suite and one studio room for my family vacation.( June ,2013). Well, the thing is.. you kinda have kitchen inside family suite but we're not allowed to cook! Furthermore, there're only few plates, glasses and coffee cups.. Without pots and pans , knife ..etc. I am unable to cook for my child who has food allergy!. I went to asked the staff, Miss Noi, who came and lended us one knife and allowed us to use for 30 mins just enough for me to peel my mangoes for the kids. She explained that since we're the short term rental.. ( we paid 20,000 Baht for two nights) that's why we're not eligible or qualified to used the electric stove including knife and cutting board. Only the guess who are long term rental is qualified . The closet in family suite are closed and locked and we have to live off from our luggage. I would give this resort no star .. It is not worth the $$$ .. Therefore, it's pretty far from the beach and there are few buildings are under contruction nearby. I would not wish to come back to this place again.

Miss Noi, the staff is trying to compromise by asking us to let the cook at the resort cook for us.. but you know.. the reason that we want to have to room with the kitchen is that I would be able to cook for my child who have food allergy. If you have kids who are very picky eaters or the family with food allergy.. you'll know what that means.

I am very disappoited to come and stay here. Never again. This hotel is on con list . If you want to stay here for few days and need the kitchen, go somewhere else.

Excellent hotel in the south of Hua Hin. Near Khao Takiap. A huge swimming pool that can be used for exercise swimming. A smaller pool area for kids is available too. Nice designed room, special design. Very helpful staff and english spoken.
This hotel is good value for money.
Breakfast could be better but it was fine.

We stayed for 1 night at Franijipani Resort.
There are not a hotel or resort, look like condominium for rent. Located in the village of Khao Takiab. You can take the TUK TUK from train station about 300 Baht.

Reception staff helpful and friendly.
The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, the design is modern and beautiful.near the long pool.
You can ride a bike free of charge for anywhere you would like to go, 5 minute for beach.
Good breakfast.
If you need a private and quite, It's a great for you.

Room Tip: First floor near the pool.

Franjipani resort is a nice relaxing place to stay with the family. the rooms are spacious and ideal for a small family, but equipment is basic. The pools are nice and the kids enjoyed the water. the resort is a 5 minute walk from the beach, but 8 kms from the town so you will need transport to get there. the surrounding area is so so with a few nice restaurants. The temporary looking restaurant in the resort was average and the breakfast was limited. It looks like they plan to build something more permanent soon. Overall good value.

If you looking for something which is away from the otherwise noisy places...this could be it. Mind you the location is not that attractive and though the property is still compartively new....some work still going on there...but the ambience is attractive.
The staff there is great and very helpful, so if you dont mind the limited f&b options and have your own transport then this might just be the place u r looking for in hua-hin

Room Tip: rooms on first floor, comes with a little terrace

This is our first time back to stay in Khao Takiab after a long while. We chose Franjipani because it seemed like a nice, modern, cozy hotel.

Location: Although it as located in Khao Takiab, we were about 200 meters from the beach. It is very close to the Cicada art market.

Room: The rooms were quite nice, modern, and clean and we did enjoy a room upgrade from Jasmine to Lotus since their rooms were fully booked due to a tour group. However, they seem to be missing some small but useful items especially for a hotel in this price range such as towel rack, a shower cap and (for our friends' room) a mirror over the sink.

Amenities: The Wifi was great, easy to connect and fast. The TV and channels offered were fine. The swimming pool was quite nice and clean. However, our phone didn't work, again something I didn't expect for a hotel of this class.

Service: Offered with a smile, but overall still have room for improvement. They didn't really do much in terms of making our stay more comfortable and seems to be a little slow/clueless in terms of aiding the needs of the guests. Some examples: the problem with the phone wasn't addressed even though we mentioned it to them; as we were leaving and lugging our bags, one of the bell hops noticed and as asked if we wanted to check out but didn't bother to come up and help us.

Food: Horrible. Lack of choices, bad taste, small portions, lack of care in preparation, they didn't even bother to refill the buffet even though the time for breakfast hasn't ended. I understand that they have a tour group stay for the night, but I also know that a dozen eggs cost only about 23 baht.

Conclusion: Although the rooms and the swimming pool were nice, I feel that this hotel was still overpriced due to food, service and location. You can get better deals around Khao Takiab, Hua Hin.
