Had a family trip to Hua Hin in Nov. Been wondering about this place as I've been aiming to come here for quite sometime already, but never had the chance as it doesn't feel like a couple's kind of place. 1st off, the website was gorgeous so is the resort. It is smaller than I thought, but the rooms are spacious. Beautifully designed very well maintained. Very detailed oriented. Every piece of furnishing had been carefully selected and placed.

Very nice breakfast, and dinner is excellent(aside from the Kuay Tiew Radna with special sauce).

It rained the whole time that we were there, but it is still nice. The waxed paper umbrella is a bit small for 2 person and not very easy to use, but it blends well with the resort theme.

Room: Seaside Suite is probably the best room layout, but don't take the one on the 2nd floor as there are no view(blocked by trees). Beach villas, the first 4 units are not that great, it's the beachfront one that you want, but I not sure if it was worth it. There's no smoking at the balcony of the hotel rooms. Only designated smoking area is near the public used bathroom on the 1st floor. Hmmm...ok, the shower is very wet. There's no curtain or door to the shower area, even if you use the rain shower the water is still gonna splatter out. These are minor stuff off course. Over all experience was great. Oh and no elevators, so not recommended for disabled even at the villas. There are also flight of stairs and if it rain, the stairs get slippery. Despite all these I would still recommend this resort. This is a privately operated resort and were greeted by the owner herself. So everything is very personalize. I would definitely stay here again with family.

Room Tip: 3rd floor Seaside suites and Devasom Grand rooms are probably the best as they are the biggest and h...

Personally I like staying in boutique hotels which are quiet and not have to be surrounded with lots of people. Devasom Hua Hin Resort is such that. There's not too many rooms hence you have all the peace you want whilst staying here.

My friend and myself opted to stay in the small huts (a pity the beachfront villa was fully booked). Nevertheless, we are able to get the 2nd villa from the beachfront, and see get a good view of the sea.

As you can see from the pictures that I post, the villa is really comfortable and quaint. Its as though you are staying in a vintage beach house. The bed was really comfortable, and the pillows were fluffy and firm.

The hotel grounds are really beautiful and you can just laze in the wooden rocking chairs placed outside the villa, and just daze into the beautiful scenery.

Hotel's breakfast is plentiful in variety. There were hot and cold dishes to choose from, and the hot dishes (rice / noodles / meat / vegetables / tofu etc) were actually delicious. and service was impeccable everything at the hotel.

Everything about this hotel is perfect. Am almost feeling selfish to want to share this hotel with others... We couldn't bear to check out of the hotel after 2 nights stay.

The Devasom is a small, privately owned resort that is very beautiful and relaxing. We stayed in a poolside villa, which was very comfortable, clean and roomy.
Do be aware that the resort is not near town, so you will need to catch a taxi,(THB250-300 one way) or the hotel's shuttle bus. The bus does need to run more often as it currently runs only at 11, 2 and 6pm to go into the town.
As the resort is small, it is not suited for young children, which suited us.
The beach at Hua Hin generally is not a nice tropical beach a some may expect and the resort's beach is not existent at high-tide. The infinity pool well and truly makes up for this.
The food is amazing and all the staff are very friendly and helpful.
We recommend this resort for couples who are looking for a romantic, Thai cottage experience. Definitely stay in the villas!
We hope to return.

The room was amazing. the pillows and beds were the most comfortable I had from staying in numerous hotels. The food was quite nice and the staff was really helpful. The room is really huge and beautiful! The beach at Devasom is really a tiny strip so I would suggest that you take the shuttle service by the hotel to go to the beach at Hua hin. However if you like you can go further down hua hin to where the kite surfing place is, the beach there is huge and quiet. The shuttle service is from 11am, 2pm and 6pm. The taxi fee is about 200baht from hua hin to devasom. The taxis are not indicated, so you'll have to look for people calling out Taxi to you. I would really go back to Devasom again!

It's hard to put into words how this hotel and it's staff made me feel. It is so beautiful here, a small boutique hotel which is only 4 years old but with a vintage style. The owner has taken considerable care to put together a unique resort. There are beautiful chalet/ wooden villas with decks facing the sea and the pool, where you can sit on your rocking chair until the sun goes down. We stayed in villa 1, which has panoramic sea views, oh how I wished this was my holiday home. There are 10 villas all angled towards the sea. Each is beautifully and tastefully decorated, stunning tiled floors and four poster beds. Also there are about another 18 rooms in the main building, they are all very large rooms.
We spent most days just laying in the sun and relaxing. There is a refreshing sea breeze , as you are so close to the sea. There isn't a big beach, in face the water mostly washing right up to the edge if the resort but that suited me as I'm not a big beach person. Saying that I swum in the sea every day.
The photos you see on the website are exactly how it looks.
The staff were wonderful, always smiling and happy to see you. I felt very sad to leave .
The hotel is a little way out of hua hin (about 10 mins by car). There is a complimentary shuttle into town about three times a day, last shuttle out is 6pm, so if you want to go into town you need to get a Tuk Tuk back (about 300 Thai ba).
We will definitely return.

Room Tip: Villa 1 has panoramic sea views, villa 2 the sun stays longest on this deck.

My wife and I spent almost a week here. Lovely hotel, big room, clean, great breakfasts, quiet and relaxing. On the negative side, it is somewhat isolated, which makes it relaxing and quiet but it is a 20 min ride to the Hua Hin restaurants/bars. The location, as mentioned by others, is odd as it is behind some derelict land with a longish dirt path between the hotel and the road (really a 2 lane highway), so once on site you need to stay there- but the site itself is lovely. The other negative is that it doesn't really have a beach, during low tide a 12 inch strip of sand appears for a couple hours, but otherwise it is more 'sea' then 'beach' fronted. The views of the sea were very nice, and I think all the rooms had great sea views- but don't expect a big sandy beach or even a small sandy beach to sun bath on or to walk along.

Room Tip: Al the rooms are nice, they have some chalets which looked comfortable, but the rooms are fine.

The nostalgic feel of this place is very relaxing. I've visited Thailand often and my wife and I enjoyed the bliss created by a less hectic place. The accomodating staff added to a very enjoyable stay. The breakfast buffet is adequate enough with hotel food of very good quality. The Thai dishes were as close to authentic as I've had any Thailand hotel and the pricing was fair. Room comfort and service were exceptional. Our minor issues with slow Wi-Fi and a few noisy children were not anything that would stop me from staying here again. Yes there is no beach to walk on and the resort is not downtown but paying for a return trip at 250 baht is not a big deal. We took the shuttle to town at 6 pm and found our own way back. I found the staff to be a bit shy but competent and helpful. Overall, I would not hesistate to recommend this place and look forward to staying again. All rooms are fine even with only partial seaviews as the physical plant and amenities are exceptional.

Room Tip: Villas are not necessary as the whole place is intimate enough.
