Dined here on. Recent visit to Hua Hin, on the recommendation of a friend. New location after having to move from an old pier. Very new and open/spacious. Extensive seafood menu, some way too expensive, but others ok, if a bit on the pricey side perhaps. But goidcserving sizes and good taste.

Service was rather peremptory, but ok when you got it.

About two kilometres north of the centre of town on Naebkehardt Road. Maybe not worth the trek out there, but if you are staying nearby then by all means give it a go.

But NOTE, it does not serve wine, only beer!

This restaurant used to be on the beach and now is a very large inland location. We visited on a Sunday night and was v quiet at about 6pm but diners arrived later.
It's a bit like walking into a shopping mall and we were confused at first as it looked like a number of restaurants but it's all the same with different sections. Exc service.
We had the mixed charcoal grilled seafood. Good variety and nicely cooked. Followed with 6 medium grilled prawns. Many places overcook but this was v good.
Not cheap but we felt good value. See pic of menu for price.
A pleasant night

This restaurant was recommended to me by the bell staff at my hotel. Apparently the restaurant recently moved from their seaside location to inland. We were looking for a place so took a gamble and went there. It is a huge restaurant and seems to be in a residential area. I was shocked at the prices for some of the seafood on the menu .. there are lots of dishes in the area of US $100! This is a huge amount for Hua Hin.

We ended up ordering some moderately priced dishes and they were OK. The service was attentive although I should say that we seemed to be the only customers in the place! We ordered 3 dishes and go away spending less that $50. Took a while for us to get a Tuk Tuk to take us back to the hotel.

This is a place that I will go out of my way to avoid!

Sang Thai's fishing pier location was closed in January, but has now opened at a new location that is about 100 meters inland from the beach and about a kilometer away from their old home. The new restaurant is an upgrade, with nicer tables ,private air conditioned rooms available(THB 300 rent), a high and airy roof over the main restaurant that enables good circulation, and attractive orchids spread throughout (these may have been gifts for the grand opening, but we hope they stay). The staff are mostly that same from the pier location and the menu is generally the same as before. We again enjoy the seafood, with all dishes freshly cooked and tasty. We miss the funky fishing pier ambience, but the upgrade probably was inevitable and the food remains excellent.

See photo. Official and unofficial reasons differ, but one thing is clear. A substantial makeover has started on the beachfront between the Hilton and the Fishing Pier. I'll miss this restaurant.
