We stayed 2 nights in a Junior Suite. The bedrooms and bathrooms were impressive, nice and large (50 sq m) so reminded one of home, with excellent views south and west of Hua Hin as we were on the top, 5th Floor. Décor was a little dated but perfectly fine and everything in the hotel was very clean. Could have done with a couple of comfy chairs in the room but it did have a desk/table and upright chairs plus a counter/bar and sink! Lots of storage space. Beds were comfy, mattresses just right, not too hard. Mini fridge in the room, much better than mini bar as one could then fill the fridge with one's own stuff. Good aircon.
Staff were friendly and obliging. Nice old style feel to the hotel with big open spaces & open, though covered, room corridors. Breakfast was a buffet and not the best quality but had a selection of Western and Thai dishes and was at least eatable. There was even a small pool though we didn't bother with it. Lots of parking available, a major asset.
Location was excellent, fairly central in Hua Hin right next to one Night Market and a few minutes walk from the second Hua Hin Night Market – though both had gone down significantly in quality compared to previous years. Also about 5/6 mins walk north of the new Market Village Mall with its big Tesco Lotus plus 2 minutes walk south of an excellent Villa Supermarket. Nearest beach access was by the side of the Sofitel, about 10 mins walk away and because of the main road, the Sundance was not so good a location if you want to spend much time on the beach.
