We stayed here November 2012 . Booked in for 5 days to a pool villa absolutely fantastic . The staff are truely great. During our 5 day stay I become ill and was hospitalised for 3 days . Staff were very helpfull in arranging taxis to the hospital and I was unbelievably surprised when one of the staff turned up at the hospital with a fruit basket from the resort. They really are the friendliest staff . We were unable to continue to the next part of our holiday and needed to stay in Hua Hin the staff went out of there way to ensure we were accomodated in the same room . I cannot thank them enough. Even without the dramas of illness overses I would highlyrecomend this resort to anyone wanting a peaceful holiday. Fabulous for people with children.

Room Tip: This resort has lots of pools and lagoon areas very private anywhere you stay. We had a private pool...

We booked this hotel at the recommendation of trailfinders, wow im so glad we did, this is a beautiful hotel with simply amazing staff in a stunning location.
We arrived to a frozen cocktail and our bags taken direct to the room, the check in was simple and friendly, the staff that took the bags were extremley friendly and showed us what is free & what isnt, where everything is and how it works, we were very impressed by that. The housekeeping staff arrived and done a Kama Sutra turndown to our bed armed with a free bottle of prosecco which was lovely. Then we met the restaurant staff over the next 24 hours as we stayed solely in the hotel for this time, they are a credit to your hotel, they are all friendly, polite, well informed, and willing to ask another member of staff if there was any language issues. Not going to name names as they are equally good, but the trainees that wear the black were truly brilliant they clearly really love the job they are doing. The guys that look after the pool and the hotel beach were great too, they would'nt even let us put our towels out they done this for us. The food is excellent in this hotel, we had the beach barbecue which i highly rated, the breakfast is the best i have ever had, so much choice. The grounds are kept beautiful by the gardening teams, there are even a few friendly cats that patrol the grounds, one of which we nicknamed probiscous, he wants to come home with you every night :-). They also lay on a shuttle bus to go into Hua Hin, recommend the night market very highly, haggle though you can get some true bargains. The only one very small and minor thing i could pick up on was the spa was very expensive but beautiful. I just cannot recommend this hotel enough, we stayed here for our honeymoon and they made this a true and wonderful honeymoon. Well done to you all for laying on such a special service to your clients, how anyone has ever given this anything but a good write up and 5 stars is beyond me.

Room Tip: We stayed in a deluxe suite 208, lovely, only slight concern is if you are not fit or have any sligh...

A heightened spirit of peace and tranquility through attention to detail is the hallmark of my experience at the Asara resort. Whilst on the beach there’s only the sound of the lapping waves to feed your ears, whilst in the restaurant or in your villa neighbors feel at a comfortable distance and the resort’s design with its meandering paths and lush foliage induce an atmosphere of peace and calm. Many of these touches are subtle which only adds to the appeal.

Although private and peaceful, the resort staff throughout are highly service-oriented, efficient and seem to anticipate just when to be there and what you might need. You sense the guest's experience is at the forefront and convenience is paramount --mosquito spray on the tables in the evening, water coolers on the beach, take-away coffees after breakfast. The quality of food in terms of freshness and flavour were superb from both room service and the restaurant dining rooms.

It’s a sanctuary with all the advantages of modern conveniences: extensive access to high-speed WiFi, in-room DVD players, quality spa services, individually controlled air con in the villa rooms, near to town with night markets and commercial centres, etc.

The extensive selection of villa photos posted by other Reviewers speaks to the comfortable layout and tasteful décor of the rooms.

I was also impressed by Asara’s understated efforts to promote an eco-friendly environment and appreciated how the natural surroundings were woven into the décor and ornaments on-site.

If you are seeking long strolls along the beach or a variety of water sports, this venue may not be your first choice but this also provides the distinct advantage of there being no sellers or distractions when you are indulging in your own beach time.

Beach, spa, villa resorts, particularly in Thailand, are my hobby and passion and Asara Villa and Suites is certainly one I will return to. Happy holidays to you!

Pros- 24 hr room service was fresh & good. Because of the time change, my husband and I were up 1 & 2am ordering room service. The staff is very keen on helping you. I got sick and the shuttle normally doesn't run until 6pm- they made a special trip for me (twice back 2 back bc I received the wrong meds at first). A taxi would've been cheap for us but still they took us. Private outdoor shower. The breakfast buffet was huge and delicious. Freshly squeezed fruit juice, crepes & omelets made on the spot, salad, soup, etc etc.. Rooms were properly cleaned, our package was inexpensive (came with a suite and breakfast), we paid under 810 US for 5 nights, the pool was relaxing and nice, the people extremely friendly, the bed was unusually firm (and I thought 4sure I wouldn't like it) but it was surprised that it was actually comfortable, the landscaping is beautiful, quiet, peaceful, our own balcony was nice, private, the daily classes- morning & afternoon (tai chi, yoga, kayaking, cooking, fruit carving etc- all free).

Cons- wifi in room. It was included in our package which leads me to believe its not usually free. If it wasn't free I would've asked for a refund. Might have been where our suite was situated but it was horrible. It worked better at the pool and the staff will freely give u the passcode. Property is starting to show wear & tear. Certain things have permanate stains, chips, and just looks old- not too bad but I prefer new. The beach- I don't know if its just Hua Hin but our beach was not impressive. Nobody was out there. It was like a deserted beach with a bit of trash, stray dogs, and no life.. It was a huge disappointment. The property was toooooooooo quiet. We are under 35 was hoping for more life. Often times we wondered if we were the only ones there. The weekend picked up but only by a few. It's a pretty big resort (and daily staff) for there to be less 6 ppl at the huge daily breakfast buffet. The free classes I listed as a pro- my husband and I went to a couple (during the weekend) and we were the only ppl there. It was awkward. We got kinda bored but once again it may just be that Hua Hin is not the proper place for what we were seeking... Phuket sounds more like us but it was way more expensive. Bugs- I suggest bringing a bug repellant. Asara has beautiful landscaping and with that is lakes, trees, plants, and of course bugs.

Advice- ladies it's extremely humid in Thailand. Expect your hair to be frizzed, makeup to melt, and a need to take multiple showers a day.

After a long week of sightseeing in Beijing, bangkok, we settled into our gorgeous pool villa at asara.

Pros -- We were really impressed with the unique design of the hotel and the lush greenery, we felt like we were walking through a jungle to get to the pool. The pool is wow wow wow spectacular with infinity edges overlooking the beach/ocean. What I loved most about asara is the unobstructed view of the ocean, it's exactly what we were looking for - quiet, peaceful relaxation time... Not the hustle and bustle of other beaches with vendors trying to sell necklaces or jet skiing. Here, it was simply the ocean waves and not a boat in sight! There were no kids at the hotel, although if we had kids it would be perfect for them bc the pool is huge and there are great shallow areas (there is even a kids pool that was untouched). But for that reason the only sounds you heard were the ocean waves - which is exactly what we wanted to hear!

Spa- my husband and I had a 90 min massage. The minute you entered the room you were immediately taken over by the aromatherapy lemon scent in the air. Our masseuses didn't speak great English but they did an incredible job and def aimed to please. Give them a nice tip, they are greatly appreciative for it.

Breakfast - included and delicious!

Location - only a 2 1/2 hr drive from Bangkok. After so many flights we wanted a break from waiting around at the airport o this was perfect for us. Although, I'm sure the beach in Phuket is prob much nicer!

Cons - English is not the best here, but we expected that after reading many other reviews. Restaurants on site are hardly used, most ppl took a shuttle to the night markets to eat. We ate at the kampu by design restaurant and it was good, there was live music but we didn't like that it was a prix fixed menu, it was also strange being one of two couples in the restaurant...made me wonder how fresh the ingredients were.

If you are searching for something with everything inside the resort, make your booking now!
You will not be desapointed because the friendly staff will make your stay easy and memorable.
My favourite place was the pool and the spa located only a few steps from my pool villa no 124!
WiFi is a must for businesstravellers and on this resort it is 110% everywhere, you can relax on the beach with your ipadfriend and never have to be disconnected!
I love the place and will definetly return again in 2013.

Room Tip: The pool villa is my choice but a suite is not a bad option! There is not a huge resort so distance...

We had a very pleasant stay at Asara. It is peaceful and private and yet family friendly. The rooms and bathrooms are huge and comfortable with good wifi connections all over the resort.
The pool is very nice, has a good overview to watch the children playing.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent, especially the desserts!
A wonderful place for a little getaway!
