“Fantastic meals with equally stunning atmosphere.”

Was there yesterday night. Had the fantastic pork knuckle, german sausage platter and frog's leg. Was down with a tall glass of German beer.

The pork knuckle meat was succulent and was so delicious.... the sausages were so tender .... oh the frogs legs were very good too...

The owner Mr Jahn was also very humble and friendly. The prices were reasonable too. It wouldn't cost you a leg to have the pork knuckle.

When in Hatyai, you MUST visit Gap's Garten.

“simply the best...”
Reviewed March 18, 2014

we are consider regulars and we mostly enjoy the quality of the food the friendliness of the owners and the overall service. Sometimes it might take a bit longer to get the main dishes out but that is due to the reason that the place will be full and most people will have arrived and ordered at the same time. Nevermind...a great salad bar and a beer will get you through, but ones the main course arrives...everything will be forgotten.
Again, an oasis for Hatyai and a must for the ones wanting to have real German food and beer.

“Excellent value and delicious food.”

Our first visit tonight and they had schnitzel as their Monday special. You can choose from Chicken, Pork or Veal and it comes with hot and crispy french fries, a huge jug of delicious gravy and help yourself from the delicious salad bar. An ice cold German beer and soda water with apple juice... and a total bill under 500 THB. Excellent value, delicious food, nice restaurant layout and decor... we will return.

“massive portion and great beers”
Reviewed January 31, 2014

I was very happy to find gap's place. We took the schnitzel. The plate was very full even if not amazingly tasty. German food is rarely fine of course. So nothing amazing aside from the size and quantity. The selection of beer is extensive and they are served the way it should be.

“Just great!”
Reviewed January 6, 2014 via mobile

We came for two days in hat yai. After three thai meals accompanied by chang beers we decided to search for something more like home for me, offering western food and Belgian beers. We found this bar/restaurant on tripadvisor. It was not easy tofind it as noone was helpful in the area. However when we eventually found it, our long walk from tye city center was rewarded. We found quality Belgian beers ( we had kwak, karmeliet, kasteel, ...) , friendly owners and gman size portions of european food. Just what we were looking for. If this is what you want, go for it.awesome! We will come back on our next visit to this quiet city.
