“Dificult to talk in English”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

My friends and I are came late to this hotel and checked in at 7.30 pm. As I was hungry I told them that I may have the dinner in the hotel (buffet dinner). Upon checking the price I found out there are three prices for the dinner. One for people below 60 years and one for above 60 years ( senior), For the seniors I was charged abput 4$ US. ( Cheap) I asked the people who is incharge do they serve coffee or tea after the dinner, they unable to answer my question. sometime they say Yew, Yes, Yes and sometimes they say No, No. No. . So I asked them can I speak to a person that can speak to me in English. A man turned up, and want to talk to me, when I asked about the tea and coffee he was able to answer the sam way. so I decided to see for my self and saw, that they serve coffee and tea after the meals ( In Sky Baiyoke you have to buy tea and coffee seprately after paying 1000 Bahts.
The rice and curry was superb. I had some thai sweets too, Two cups of coffee and some corn porridge. which I taset it is nice. Fruits were of just local pineapple, watermelon dragon fruit and so on. No Mangoes. or magoesteen.
There was local soup called Tom Yam with sea food which is spicey and tasty.
Mos th of the hotel staffs are not interested in learning english. Even the counter, they are too shy or did not learn how to speak in English.
Sometime they speak english and I found out it is dificult to understand, may be it is the mixture of English and Thai.
Anyway the hotel is a good one for the price I paid, and there are more channels ( english) even live sports channel then in Paris ( Hotel Faubourg) Toileteries were plentyful . The room is very big comparing to the above said hotel.
In the morning the breakfast, ( on the house) it is plentiful, and varieties of it including fruits, bread, and noodles. Including tea and coffee.
Only one problem is spoken English other than that this good place to stay.

Room Tip: Rooms on 15th floor are better.

Strategically located in the centre of the city. Can just park your car, walk around the area or get a "Tuk tuk" to the nearby market. Security was tight. Everyone is scanned and checked at the entrance of the mall. Overall is fine, just sometimes can be too crowded. And have to wait few rounds to get in the lift.

1) Book 3 rooms, 1 for my mum & her sister, 1 for my children & 1 for my husband, unfortunately my room was few rooms away from them, good that my children room is connected with my mum
2) They dislike hotel did not have the kettle, they had to call everytime whenever they needs hot water, you needs to prepare to wait for 45 minutes more
3) Security is good, they check your bag everytime you enter to hotel from main door & car park entrance (may trouble when a lot of ppl enter to main entrance in 1 time)
4) My children like it just because the wifi is available every floor, but the environment not as good as the first night hotel we stay in Aloha
5) Good is that this is the only hotel serve breakfast where I no need to headache for breakfast as we are 7 person
6) Hotel Buffet dinner just so so, waiter & waitress just standing there waiting for you to left and clean the table, you had to call them to took away your empty plate, when you ask for water, they ask you to refill water yourself
7) Once you left the buffet place, you are not allow to enter again, you need to get special "permission" like the toilet was dirty, we prefer to use at our own room
8) Outside of hotel was the morning market & night market, du du available anytime, is good you order du du from your right straight, much more cheaper than main entrance
9) Swimming pool & gym room is good for people who plan to rest & relax here
10) Shoppoing centre just in the same building and opposite Central hotel also available for shopping & supermarket
11) Recommend for those who first time go Hatyai also those who go with family, not so expesive, is about RM132 for a room for normal day, addidional RM40 for Friday & Saturday

Room Tip: 1) wifi available everyfllor 2) smoking is not allow in this building 3) no kettle available for t...

Stayed in this hotel many times except last year when the hotel was exploded in a kitchen gas incident massacre. Last week, I tried my luck to stay there again.

The security was tightened, you had to pass a detector gate and if it buzz, they will check you bags, just like the airport. This time, I didn't take a suite, instead stayed in a superior room. It was good. They changed from carpet floor to timber-laminated, which was more hygiene. The WiFi access was speedy, really I cant complain for the price I paid with b'fast (Baht 1350.00/nite).

The only complain was the telephone services. All departments I called answered the phone rudely. No wish, no TQ and no manners. But the line staff was good and polite.

The location is right in the center and offers good view of Hatyai in general from your room's window.

Room Tip: Ask for higher floor room with WiFi access. Lower floor rooms are normally for budget groups and the...

The hotel wins through location as it is in center, but rather complicated system of getting to your room as you need to get to lobby first which is on 10th floor and then change lifts to respective upper floors. Because of security reasons they are checking on ur cars and bags u come in/out to building which makes you rather irritated especially when you just arrived after a long drive. Rooms are ok, nothing special, but very clean. Walls and bathroom might need a little renovation in few places. Beds have rather thin blankets. I would not recommend you staying in this hotel if you come by own car/motorcycle. As for value for money, i think few more hotels across the street might give you better or at least newer rooms for same price although they might always be full on weekends. But otherwise it is good hotel to stay for a 1-2 nights on your transit.

We stay for 2 nights (25 march - 27 march 2013) with family and we have 1 baby and 2 toddler, rooms is dirty, old and stinky. Dont have electric kettle, staff are unpolite and not friendly and the service is really bad. We asked for hot water because we have baby, but until few hours they dont deliver the hot water, they dont even apologize!!! The staff knowledge of english is very low, they even keep ours passport and have us to pay for a deposit!!!

Room Tip: Just never stay in this hotel if you travelling with family and kids

The Hotel is from 10th to 33 rd floor, which awesome view of the city even from my floor 21st floor. The views are beautiful. On the contrary the rooms are basics, and not too modern compare to the hotel next door. Rooms are fine but fittings and toiletries are not at the standard. Breakfast is quite good with options. Internet in the room is not that strong but lobby is fine. I liked the friendly staffs of the hotel except, understanding level of English is quite low.

Time pass by roaming around the Plaza shopping mall, massages just out side on the street, eateries, shopping and the China Town!!

Room Tip: top floors for nicer view
