“Good food and entertainment”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

2 stages with slightly different acts- some shred some not. A large food court with lots of different stalls seems more For locals but anyone can sit and sit. It has a good range of food and delicious fruit shakes. The other stage is in front of a restaurant which seems to attract more tourists. There are lots of stalls selling souvenirs crafts and clothes. It' s not so good on a Saturday evening as many people and some stalls go the local Walking Street market instead

“A great night out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2013

The night bazaar is a fun night out. You get to meet the locals, check out lots of interesting goods and grab a meal. Generally, if you ask the cost of something the stall owner will type an amount into his or her calculator. They expect you to come back with a smaller price. The bartering is easy. The stall holders are friendly and not overly pushy. Loads of great things to buy at pretty good prices. Toilet facilities are basic Thai. Before and after the night bazaar you can grab a massage for a very small cost. There are lots of little massage places just outside. If you visit Chiang Rai you have to go the Night Bazaar. Have fun!!

“Part of the Chiang Rai Experience”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2013

Enjoyable atmosphere and one of those things you have to do when in Chiang Rai. Now that I live here, I don't eat there that often as the food is not as good as you can get elsewhere and it is very hot in the closed in eating square. But it's something you must do if you are visiting, even if only to see the festive atmosphere and enjoy the great live traditional Thai singing. It is nice to eat out under the open skies too. I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. Great for those who enjoy people watching! Good place to have a cold beer after some serious shopping in the markets.

“Great market”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2013

Was really impressed with the night market, it is large, lots of fun and the prices are really good. Its also in the center of town so easily accessible and its easy to walk around as the roads are closed to all cars and scooters. Tried various local foods from different stalls and loved them. All in all its a real treat.

“I love the Thai night markets!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2013

Many spots in Thailand have night markets and they are always an experience....I feel totally safe wandering around by myself and it is a great place to find inexpensive souvenirs for friends back home. The concept of the night market is very appealing because I like to see the temples and other attractions during the day, and then do my shopping at night....it allows you to pack more into your visit when you can shop until midnight!
