Interesting place, quite a bit to see. Wouldn't describe it as a 'must see' but do go if you're near by. Gives you a break from the heat at the very least, and good to learn about these tribes.

A must to visit if going to the hill tribe museum. It is right next to the museum. The food is excellent and proceeds go towards the hill tibe educating them about birth control.

My family enjoyed our visit to this "off the beaten path museum". The movie is informative and allows you to learn more about the tribes beyond what you experience from purchasing items in the street markets. The displays of artifacts give you a glimpse into life in the hill tribes. You'll also find items in the gift shop that you won't find anywhere else in Chang Mai. The ฿50 fee for the movie is the only cost associated with this museum.

a very smaal museum, not so good displayed. You need to read every display and then you learn a lot. More about opium than about hilltribe people.

I was here for maybe 30 minutes. The displays give good insights into the hill tribes that live around the area. There is a lot of info about the opium trade if you are interested.
