A great little hotel in Pleasant Chiang Rai.
Simple but cozy rooms. Good staff.
Centrally located.
You can buy tours from the hotel's own vehicles, with super good guides.
If you are in the area it is a good and cheap place to stay.

This place is set in a good location, and is only a 5/10 minute walk to most places. It's set in a large garden, which is nice as it blocks the view of the road.

We had a very basic room with a basic breakfast, but it was quite and the staff were very friendly!
Would recommended if on a budget, and only visiting Chiang Rai for a night or two.

My family and I expected worse after reading recent reviews. No complaints from us. Comfortable, cosy, clean and the location can't be beaten, right near the night bazaar and walking street, clock tower, parks etc.
Very friendly staff and off road parking.

For 600 baht single and 800 double it can't be beaten.

Highly recommended for those with their glass half full.

This hotel used to be one of the best places to stay in Chiang Rai for those wanting a simple room in a good location with lovely surroundings. A few years ago, the owner Mr June died and since then, the family have not invested in the property and it shows. Rooms and equipment are in desperate need of repair. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the laid back environment is killed by the shopping mall opposite playing extremely loud techno music promoting their stall all day until 8pm. When the techno at the front stops, the karaoke behind starts. The main road is now extremely busy and noisy. If you are in and out and want a hotel situated right in the middle of town then this property will suit your needs but it is not a quiet place to hang out any more.

Yes, I read the not so complimentary reviews but decided to give it a go. I was quite happy. This is a real hotel for travellers, so if you want hotel amenities this probably won't suit. However, if you want a quiet place to sleep, amongst great gardens, 5 minutes to the Night Market and easy walking to the downtown sights, then give them a go. The rooms have a/con, hot water and each room has tables and chairs outside to look at the gardens . No TV which is probably what turned off some people. The reception area has books available, good English speaking staff, free WiFi and breakfast is included. There is also an onsite travel agency and restaurant. Many lowkey travellers there when I was there.

This hotel was most disappointing. While the staff were very welcoming, the standard of the rooms suggested no money had been spent on them in many, many years. The fan and the air conditioner in my room made such a racket that sleep was difficult and the lock on the door did not inspire any confidence. The thin curtains provided little privacy and the mirror in the bathroom reflected only a vague image. Breakfast was poor with no choice. On the credit side, the host was helpful and the gardens very pleasant.

This hotel was mentioned in several guidebooks so we tried it. Fortunately, it was 1 night only. There is nothing wrong with the hotel and the staff are friendly. The hotel is just tired out. It needs a thorough renovation. The location is good and we enjoyed walking around Chiang Rai. However, we were glad our plans were to stay 1 night only. There were many mosquitoes outdoors in the open area where breakfast and WIFI are located. It was a challenge to keep the mosquitoes out of the room. Until this hotel is renovated, we'd look for a different option.
