“Tranquil setting with a recreated ancient palace/shrine”
Reviewed January 15, 2014 via mobile

Beautifully landscaped palace grounds with many artifacts. I most enjoyed the recreated palace building by the lake. Good place to spend a couple of hours. Great place for kids to play around.

“Beautiful place to spend a few hours”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

The Mae Fah Luang Art and Culture Centre is about 10 minutes drive from the town centre, and contains is basically a large park with a lake, beautiful gardens and various buildings showcasing local timber artifacts and traditional building styles. It's very peaceful, and lovely just to wander around for a couple of hours. The day we went there was hardly another person there, even though it was in the peak tourist season. Entry is from memory about 100 Baht per person for foreigners.

“A Relaxing Way to Spend Some Time”
Reviewed November 4, 2013

The Mae Fah Luang Art and Culture Park is a large area broken up into various types of gardens and also contains statues, carvings and other features throughout the gardens. The main central building contains religious items from all the states over Thailand including typical Buddha's from each location. The lady attendant at the time was happy to explain the various items and also sell us some food to feed the fish in the nearby lake.

There is a shop which sells craft as well as food and drink. The park has a number of signposts to point you to garden features.

It was very peaceful strolling through the park gardens looking for the hidden garden features and looking at the various flowers in bloom. It is a great way to spend 2 to 3 hours.

“Lovely gardens, tranquil, a little quiet”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

Lovely gardens. Very quiet when I was there so had the place to myself. Downside for me was little was in English, especially in the teak exhibition & the golden pavilion. I would have loved to know more about the artifacts and the buildings.
