Was raining and full of other tourists when we got there, but nice natural hot springs. You can boil eggs in them, or choose to dip your feet in one of them.

“It seems anything can be made a tourist attraction these days”
Reviewed April 2, 2014

It really does seem that anything can be made a tourist attraction these days. We stopped here compulsory as part of an organised tour but it felt like a ploy for us to visit and spend money at the over priced markets nearby. This "attraction" is nothing more than a jet of hot water shooting into the air. You can also buy eggs to cook in a pool of thermal water nearby if you feel like it. Behind the markets there are some hot thermal pools for you to dip your feet into if you can handle the heat! Not worth visiting by choice that's for sure!

“Not meant for the eye........but for the body!”
Reviewed January 4, 2014

Went for a daytrip to Pha Soet 31:st of December 2013. A day that started out at my hotel with some mist and fog appx. 10 degrees Celsium. After breakfast we took same driver as two days before (then to Mae Fae Luang Garden and Golden triangle). He did, again, a good job for 500 baht to take us to the hot spring and back (4 hours total).

Many people set up in their minds that a hot spring is going to be a sensational feast for your eyes.......spraying up water 10-20 meters in the air and beside is a blue lagoon with sulfite and other, for body good, chemicals to swim in while waiters running around serving chilled Dom Perignon!

THIS IS NOT IT!

Instead, if you are open minded, you find the beauty in finding "on the way" a sleepless little jungle village with two hot springs coming up from WHERE!!!???

The day I arrived I was the only "falang". I got undressed and went in to the hot bathing area with water that is reduced from +80 degrees Celcius to some 40-50.....which is GOOD ENOUGH. In the water there were some 20 Thai adults and their kids. If you want you can hire a private small hut (five - ten available) where you are all alone. After 30-40 minutes I got dressed and the sun blazed from a blue sky making it some 25-30 in the shadow....I boiled some eggs (instead of drinking the Dom) and finished off with a one hour thai massage another 15 meters into the green garden.

I would say that this was a really treat for body and mind!

Total cost; transport 500, bath 35 HAHAHAHAHA! massage 200 :-) 735 Baht.......sorry forgot the two baskets of egg 50 ;-)

If I visit Chiang Rai again..........I WILL surely visit one more time......making it a whole day!

Tony

“Tourist photo only”
Reviewed December 26, 2013

This just a hot spring in a capark surrounded by shops. The actual spring is has one source going to two others the the jet of hot water and the egg boiling. Took the two second photo and enjoyed the coffee and shops
Nothing i would put on my list of great visits

“Burst pipe in the middle of nowhere”
Reviewed December 22, 2013

The only reason why we even visited this place was because it was a compulsory stop in a tour we booked. The shops are overpriced and no different to items sold in other markets. The hot spring fountain was nothing out of the ordinary, appearing like a burst pipe in the car park.

There were chicken and quail eggs available to buy and boil in the hot springs for three minutes but this was nothing more than a gimmick. Nothing special...
