My husband and I stayed in the cabin cottage on May 30 – Jun 1, 2013. We bought a deal for these 2 nights from a local travel fair in Bangkok. We booked a date upon purchase and I requested for date change twice. This has become an issue.
Advertised on the resort’s official web that high speed internet access is available in room. It was not there.
Also advertised on the web the availability of daily maid service and turn down. Nobody came to make my room….no need mention turn down.
Besides, no high ceiling no fan no DVD player as advertised on the web. These weren’t important for us but I must say it is a fraud for lacking such a lot of items/services.
As for cabin cottage (room type we stayed in), it looked very nice as a whole. Good place to spend a night. However, I cut scores due to some important parts were missing. In this room, there was only one small bed-side table (size approx 1 foot x 1 foot and there was only one, not a pair) stood next to one side of our bed. One desk top that half of the space was filled with water bottles and cups. Closet with 4 hangers and one drawer.There were not enough space for guest to put our things on. Only one stud for hanging towel, yes...only one and this room accommodates two, and worst of all…this stud is inside the shower room! This room was lacking too many amenities to be able to enjoy a pleasant stay.
Breakfast was good quality. Breakfast area was amazingly relaxant. Ground of the resort was nice. There was a shallow creek that I could walk into. Service in the resort was excellent. Staff was very nice very polite. But I rated low on service because 1.) nobody came to clean my room and 2.) my experience with the reservation of which I’m going to write about it.
Aforesaid, I had trouble with my plan and I had to call to request for date change twice. The only lady, Khun Bee, who was in charge of the reservation dept was very rude. First thing, she tried to refuse to send me date change confirmation in writing both times I called. I managed to persuade her to do so anyway. My second date change request was around 20 days before my previous reserved dates, and was almost 10 days ahead of the actual date request. She talked to me like I wasn’t a customer (who had already paid for 2 nights). She scolded me like I was her child. I have to use this word ‘scold’ because it explains the way she talked to me. Absolutely lack on manner and not business-like people. Examples of what she said were:- “I don’t have so much time to serve your hesitation!” and “You’ve changed 3 times!” (which wasn’t true as that time was the second and final time). If my request for date changing was offensive to the resort’s policy, she could have just nicely refused to do it. But I was sure my request was nothing abusing to the resort’s rules. And hey, I was not making change just for fun. Unplanned circumstance happened and I myself got headache about it too.
