Not easy to get to without transport to and fro but the place is very quiet, peaceful and lay back.

Went for a 60ins spa for B1605, kind of pricey but it was worth it as I feel totally relaxed.

And the nearby cafe served good food and drinks.

Really a good stop to recharge and pamper yourself.

We went here in February 2014 and loved every moment of the time we spent at this, English colonial style cafe with a wonderful selection of home made cakes, pies, pockets, fish chips. The restaurant overlooks the serene Kok river and has comfortable old style couches and window sill areas to sit inside and an open garden area by the river.
The interesting fact that it is not a real colonial house but designed to 'look' colonial and they've done a tremendous job, to bring the authentic colonial look and feel factor into it. Very tastefully done pieces of furniture, cutlery, glassware and tableware and garden furniture, I must say. All preparations are superbly done to perfection.

The staff is extremely hospitable and polite and the owners take special care themselves, always present to lend a personal touch to the experience of their guests.

Everyone works very hard and it shows. Chiangrai visit would be incomplete without a visit to this cafe.

I happened to visit this cafe again recently and enjoyed it as much as before. They have some nice big trees for natural shade and the setting by the river is just lovely. Quiet surprising that it is right next to highway 1, as you would not know it. The cafe buildings are old colonial style and very tastefully done. The staff are pleasant & polite and the food selection is wonderful. This cafe makes a super retreat to wile away some time and contemplate on the good things in life.

We visit Chiang Rai often and are always looking for a good place to have coffee. We went twice this time and found it a nice café to spend an hour or so.We didn't try the food so cannot comment but the coffee was good and the café has a very nice atmosphere inside and on the verandah and outside is good looking over the river.I like to have a nice cake or pastry with my coffee and unfortunately you won't find it here. The cakes are more like you find in thai cafes, that is covered in cream and/or icing and not much underneath. As a lot of foreigners visit here, the bakers should try to bake something that foreigners like.

Dear khun Cyclist911,

Thank you so much for visiting us and for your kind comments on our café. We make all our bakery ourselves fresh every day from real milk, cream and butter using no preservatives, unnatural taste enhancers, sweeteners or additives. Our chocolate is imported from Belgium and all fruits are sourced fresh locally and in season. We constantly develop new recipes inspired from our travelling all over the world. In fact most cakes we offer today are very classic western creations such as the carrot cakes, cheese cakes, apple pie, crème brule, high tea sets and scones etc, which foreigners and locals both enjoy very much. If you like pastry we also do some very nice pies with homemade fresh pastry. If you have any special requests or any other tips on how we can further improve our menu please call me on 081-9842925 and we will try to develop this for you in future! Thanks again and hope to see when you come back to Chiang Rai. Best Regards, Nattamon
