Keep looking. There must surely be better places to stay in Chiang Rai for the same price. We were only passing through CR so we didn't spend long looking for a place to stay. The air con worked which is probably the only thing this place has going for it. It's actually not very close to the night market at all. Tiny, cell like room, hot smelly bathroom, but the worst thing was the noise. This place is all cement and tiles. Rooms open onto long corridors and there is no soundproofing at all. Not only did the person in the next room have the tv blaring all night, people were coming and going all through the night, talking loudly and slamming doors. Budget is definitely the word.
