“Perfect way to spend a day”
Reviewed September 28, 2012 via mobile

We visited Chiang Rai for just two quick days and decided to book a tour to see the countryside. We could not have been happier with Chiang Rai Bicycle Tour! Bee and his crew picked us up on time, had excellent, clean and well maintained bikes, and was very hospitable and accomodating. Our tour took us to the white temple, the Karen elephant park, and then a lovely river boat ride back to town. The entire day was just great. Not enough can be said about how lovely a job Bee and his crew do. Oh, and every 10k or so a truck would be waiting for us for drinks and snacks. A top notch day.

“It was a Fantastic Day, a Highlight of our Trip.”
Reviewed September 19, 2012

Last week my daughter, age 10, partner and i booked a half day tour with Chiang Rai Bicycle Tours. We had already met Mr Bee at our hotel - his warmth and friendliness had already convinced us it would be a good idea to take the tour. A day later we met Amon, his brother and Ying his sister . We LOVED the tour with Amon and Ying. Mr Bee was away. Our bikes and helmets fitted us perfectly and the journey led us through beautiful countryside, rice paddies, little villages and we even saw a monk blessing a motor bike. Amon was fun, informative, helpful and Ying organised great refreshments along the way. We took the half day tour 8.30 - 2.30, next time we'll go for longer. Highly recommended, we loved it.

“Highlight of holiday”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

We went on a two-day cycling tour with Bee to the Golden Triangle and Mae Sae in July. What a great experience!
Although it rained a bit inbetween, we wouldn't have missed it.
Bee and his brother arrived with excellent quality, impeccably maintained mountain bicycles and a support van full of food and drinks. The tour led us through little villages, rice fields and rubber plantations in a mostly flat landscape (just a couple of hills inbetween, nothing to worry about). Every now and again we would stop, contemplate and sustain ourselves. As a former monastry novice, Bee freely shared his vast knowledge of Buddhism and country life with us. Although we covered quite a few kilometers, the whole tour felt quite relaxing to me (and I'm not fit!). Bee will just adapt the speed and programme to the group.
The two-day tour also included a visit to the opium museum, a quick trip over the Mekong river to Laos, some impressive wats and the market in Mae Sai, which really made us want to cross over into Myanmar. We enjoyed every moment and came out really enriched, full of images, tastes and experiences. This is much better than being chauffered around in an aircon taxi, definitely the highlight of our holiday. Many thanks again Bee!

“Excellent experience”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

Just completed a 3 day tour which included riding around Chiang Rai, ride from Chiang Rai to Chiang Sean w/ side trips to Mae Sei (Burmese border) and a short trip into Laos.

Bee and his brother run a great operation. They are exceedingly friendly and very hospitable. We never lacked for sights, food (excellent fresh fruit served at several rest stops each day) or beverages the entire trip. Selection of accomodations was also great--places you'd never find yourself if booking from outside the country, but each having charm that a hotel chain would lack.

Equipment was good--recent model year Trek 3900 mountain bikes. The wide tires proved helpful as some of the trails had some mud on them from recent heavy rains, though 90% plus of our riding was on either lightly traveled tar roads or hard pack trails.

Scenery and sites were phenomenal--a nice mixture of nature plus beautiful temples--the White Temple of Chiang Rai was a highlight.

Bee also knows his restaurants having us stop at nice roadside places w/ freshly prepared local foods.

In summary--a great experience--I highly recommend Chiang Rai Bike Tours and hope to return for another ride w/ Bee and his family again soon.

“Great Company”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

My friends and I just complete a three-day tour with Mr. Bee at Chiang Rai Bicycle Tour. It was very professional and well-organized. Furthermore, Mr. Bee and his brother, Mr. Anong provided highly personalized service. They also introduced us to some great local restaurants and meet our every need. All-in-all, a great experience and a great company. Highly recommended.
