this hotel exceeded my expectations and there were many wow moments. it is luxurious in layout, design, service and amenities. very clever and thoughtful setting for the italian restaurant. great bathrooms - huge bathtubs and extra large frameless glass showers (in new york this would be a studios apartment)
hope to get back and do some more exploring

Set along the River with huge lush grounds and an artificial lake running through the hotel makes this hotel a very memorable one. We got a King deluxe room on the club floor and it was quite spacious with a nice big bathroom.
My complaint though was it was too empty and oddly set.. its always nice to have a large room but you also want that space to be utilised well. the power socket was quite far from my side of the bed and the TV was not in the center. There should have been more thought put in when designing the room as there is alot of wasted space and things were not ergonomical. Also there was no luggage rack on which to put our bags..

Overall this is a good hotel with good quality in a great setting.

Dear Aneks

Thank you so much for taking the time to write and post this review…and for your kind and generous comments.

I do note your comment in the TV was not in the center and the power socket was quite far from the side of the bed. I am however always grateful for the feedback so that we can learn and improve. Please do let me know if I may ever be of service in the future. Thank you again for your comments and candor.

With best regards
Stephen

When we arrived felt very welcoming with open air check in and registration. Rooms very well appointed and staff was friendly and attentive.

Hotel is situation right on the river, the property is well maintained and elegant. There is an excellent Italian restaurant on the property, try it one night of your stay.

One drawback of the hotel is that it is a ways from downtown Chiang Rai and the night bazaar. Getting a taxi into town was relatively easy, but had to get a ride back in a tuk-tuk (three wheeled motorcycle buggy). Fare was pretty cheap, just not the most convenient.

With all that said, I highly recommend this property.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that has a river view. You'll pay a little more but it is worth it.

If you're looking for a hotel that is not too large, not too small. Set in lush landscaped gardens with attentive staff, quiet and clean rooms and good quality food from a couple of different restaurants, look no further, this is it.

We were going to book a different hotel but we booked an ATV excursion several months earlier and they told us this was a better hotel than the one we had in mind and we are very glad we listened.

We have been generally disappointed with the quality of the breakfasts at hotels in Thailand, our experience changed in Chiang Mai and just when we thought it couldn't get any better, it got better!

Children loved the pool, we loved the Italian restaurant and the cocktails and Steven the G.M was charming as was the French chap running the kitchens and the Chief Concierge who went out of his way to make our holiday special. First rate, Chiang Rai has proven to be a real surprise and on our next trip we are going to spend 2 weeks here and explore all of this Golden Triangle area.

This was definitely an oasis on our trip. The grounds were fabulous with a large swimming pool and all situated on a quiet river. Great Italian (go figure) restaurant in the complex. There were several other restaurants, but we couldn't get in. We were angry at ourselves for not doing more homework so that we could have stayed longer. Our room was lovely and had a great view. Definitely recommend!

Dear Jack D

Your comments regarding service are a joy to read. Whenever we receive a Trip Advisor review, we always share it with our hotel team at the daily morning meeting. The team beamed when they heard your warm words. Thank you for highlighting the swimming pool as well as the Italian Restaurant. I am delighted that we made your stay special and memorable.
I do hope that we will have the pleasure to welcome you again in the Lanna kingdom again.

Thank you again for your kind comments.
Sincere regards
