We visited the Cha-Am Wednesday night market in March. This market is in front of the railway station and covers several streets. We arrived at 5.30pm from Hua Hin by songthaew. Cost for 4 people return trip to Hua Hin 800 baht. The market is big and we thoroughly enjoyed walking and checking everything out. I bought a couple of childrens clothing, bunny rug. My husband bought a shirt for 150baht.

The food stalls are plenty there are also a few outside seated areas to leave your husband having a few quiet ones while you shop. We left at 9pm all very happy with our purchases and would love to organise another Wednesday night visit one trip.

This reviews here are a totally mix up!!!
Cha-Am have many markets now but the one is worth a visit is the Wednesday nightmarket! And this market is only Wednesday at the train station / Police station!
You will find here lots of food: thai food/ western food/ isan food/ and even insects!
But not just food! What ever you need you can find here! Clothes /Shoes /Copies / watches / Dogs / fish / rabbit / cosmetics / CD's / the newest IPhone Copies and and and
the hotels from all around bring their guest down here in the highseason....so it is real full here from 18:00 till 20:00
so don't forget to bring your camera

This place is incredible to see. 8 times a a day a commuter train drives through the middle of the market and the vendors have to pull back their awnings and food tray for the train to pass and as soon as its passed back to business. The train passes just centimetres from you. Great market to see regardless of train.

For all the people, that are looking for the railway market in Cha Am, we have been looking for it, but for sure, its not there.

Where is it ? Its far more in the direction of Bangkok, for sure you can get a tour to it at the tourist information or at your resort / hotel. We will visit it next time when we are in Cha Am again.

Walked down the train tracks with market on both sides. All food stuff. When the train whistle started blowing we were at the end of the market and watched them pull back their awnings and move their wares back from the tracks. As soon as the train passed, they brought back their awnings and items and set up shop again. Very interesting.
