I recently stayed at this Cera Resort for a business trip.

While my stay as a whole was enjoyable, there were a few complaints I thought I'd express about my time at the Cera. First of all, the wifi didn't reach my room which was inconvenient and required going to the main lobby to access it.

The room, although clean and fresh was the strangest architectural decision I've ever experienced and made for quite an uncomfortable experience. The exterior door from hallway to the rooms opens up to bathroom/toilet which is very strange and unnerving. Also, most rooms have all glass shower enclosures which is uncomfortable and very inconvenient when wanting to use the door to the outside if someone is using the facilities. The beds were extremely firm and not comfortable at all with no top sheet only a bottom sheet and bedspread.

The breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. I enjoyed the omelet bar but was not impressed with the food for other meals. There are a number of restaurants surrounding the hotel on the main road which provide lots of meal options but I was also not extremely impressed with most of the food I tried. I found the food to be average at most and overpriced. Thank goodness for a 7/11 within walking distance. Other than the shops in walking distance there was not much to do in the surrounding area.

Another thing was that they only offered one room key (not a key card but an actual key) which was inconvenient if you were not with the other person staying in your room.

Pool was nice and the hotel is close to the ocean. Would be leery of recommending this hotel to someone who was looking for a nice vacation spot.

We booked the hotel at about 7 evening and we were given 10% discount which were glad. The lobby was quite small and nowhere comfortable as it was raining, I felt almost desperate that we got the wrong hotel as I could not see the area in the dark. We lazily moved up the room in that small building and surprised a to find a very pleasant good-taste room, clean and smelling nice, spotless, and the air conditioning was perfect, beds were soft. I had a good night's sleep to wake up to a sunny morning and we first headed to buffet. The restaurant was not air-conditioned but nevertheless the ambiance was cool early morning. It could get hotter though the longer you stay. Asian spread on the buffet was good and some western food was not bad either. If you wake up early, you will enjoy the breakfast and the ambiance. We headed to a nice walk around the hotel and find it really likable although there was not much to do after breakfast except to go to the beach and dip in the pool with a lot of sun beds.Over all it was relaxing and worth it.

Room tip: Choose to be in the bigger building. It is facing the beach.

Very relaxing hotel with a lovely pool situated close to the beach and short walking distance to the village for shops and restaurants.
Our room was very spacious with the largest bed that I have ever seen. The decor throughout the hotel is unusual in that the occasional furniture, tables, stools etc are made of ceramic in primary colours which gives a very modern and distinctive feel.
We found that the staff were very obliging providing extra towels and pillows immediately when asked for. We were on room and breakfast basis and there was plenty of variety on offer, both Asian and European. Again the staff were very friendly and attentive.
We would definitely return to the Cera and recommend it for a relaxing stay.

Having stayed at the Novotel and the Regent in the past, decided to go with reports on TripAdvisor and give the Cera a try - and we definitely didn't regret it. Very good sized airy feeling room with everything you needed. Perfectly comfortable bed. Excellent housekeeping, so everything kept nice and clean.

Breakfast was fine - depending on hotel occupancy a buffet is offered - when occupancy is low you choose from a (limited) menu. The food was nice and fresh even from the menu. During our 10 day stay we had buffets for 9 days, which consisted of cereals, bread, pastries, yoghurt, fresh fruit, juices, coffee or tea, an egg station, some Western items but mainly Asian items. A great start to the day, although some things were a little odd for Western palates.

Good sized swimming pool and plenty of sunbeds with mattresses. We both got a slight skin irritation from the pool water at one stage, but that settled quickly.

All in all, a very good stay and we'd definitely return.
