We visit zoos around the world and have seen both large and small, public and privately owned. We visited this zoo thinking it was as it says, a zoo, but found it to be a gimmicky permanent circus that exploits their animals for profit. The tigers on display are in overcrowded enclosures; many have rotten teeth or lost teeth. Above the tigers are feeding cages that visitors shoot open with a slug gun for a fee. The tigers then fight over the spoils and presumably also ingest the metal ball-bearings. In other exhibits, tigers and elephants are subjected to circus-type tricks and the pigs are raced. Tiger cubs are put out to be photographed with tourists, but they are over-handled and put on display all day instead of a short period of time so as to lessen the stress on the animal. And the STAFF IN THE TICKETING OFFICE ARE THE RUDEST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS AT ANY TOURIST ATTRACTION ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!!!. God help you if you want a receipt after paying your money, you simply will not get one. We were not be offered a reason and then completely ignored after being told, "No receipt." Plenty of better places to visit in Thailand like Khao Kheow Open Zoo just down the road. Do not waste your time or money visiting this appalling attraction.
