Almost funny if not sad that so many 'western' tourists reviewing here suddenly become animal experts and make assumptions that are not true. This is not a western zoo where we, in the west, 'pretend' to give the animal a 'natural' environment, really? They still live in cement in all zoos. Do you really know how to handle a baby tiger? really? Do you really know when an animal is stressed, really? You were raised completely separated from nature and now you have an overly romantic notion of animals you know nothing about. Stop being so hypocritical, you do not know. Some exhibits here are a bit silly, but the interaction is amazing, and believe me, the tigers are not drugged, I sat with one and the interaction had to be brief and well controlled. Having said all that, there ARE better places, the tiger temple in Kanchanburi and the elephant camp up in Chiang Mai. If you actually run a zoo and are an actual zookeeper then please give your opinion, but if your only experience with these animals is from the Animal Planet channel on TV, close your mouth and don't go.
