Stayed 5 nights in a deluxe room before Christmas. A bit smaller, old fashioned traditional Thai hotel. Large room, the room was clean but in some need of renovation. The beach is great, a small pool and lovely garden. The breakfast was a bit disappointing but lunch was great. 5-6 other restaurants on the beach as well. The staff was ok. Could stay again!

If you are looking for a quiet, tranquil beach location to relax I can recommend this hotel. We arrived in the morning, and by 11:30am were ensconced on the golden sandy beach.

The staff are courteous, friendly and very knowledgeable. We dined at the Malaysia restaurant and ordered the signature lamb rack, the presentation was impressive and the taste sublime.

Succulent lamb, marinated in a zesty, but not over powering mixture of spices. Delicious.

The local wildlife have paid us a visit - sea otter and Dusty Monkeys, both paid little attention in us, being more interested in the fish tank and local berries to eat.

We will definitely be back.

This is one of the best Resorts in Khao Lak. Not big and fancy, but small and very personal. Fantastic staff - good restaurant, beautiful beach, great breakfast. Quiet surroundings but still with 4 nice restaurants on the beach right beside the Resort: 8 Fish - Be Friend - Pinky and Wonderful... all worth a visit - and ofcourse Marriot (expensive) There’s also a Mini-mart beside Marriot.

Since 2014 we have stayed several times in the Andamania and every time we are happy to be back.
At arrival the staff recognized us and gave us the feeling of being welcome.
There was no welcome-drink offered at check in, this would be a nice gesture.
We can see some things at the resort are improved like the internet connection which was really good this time,
the premises was better maintained and there was no more terrible ‘reservation of sun beds’ done by the guest, there were enough sun beds available.

We stayed in one of the newly build rooms, they are decorated with lighter colors than the other rooms which are with wood and a bit dark, there is a large bathroom and small terrace with sun beds.
Everyday we found a beautiful flower and towel arrangement on our bed.
The breakfast buffet is ok,
no pastries but tasteful pancakes.
The staff most Burmese was very friendly and one of the Thai leading staff members spoke very well English.

The garden is really beautiful and taken care off and the pool is very nice
The best part of the Andamania however is the location at one of the most beautiful beaches of Thailand.
The restaurant at the beach is good and actually you also find some newly opened beach restaurants next door where you can have dinner at slightly lower prices than in the hotel restaurant.
Prices of the massage are the same as on the beach.
We will definitely come back to the Andamania as it is one of our favorite places to spent our holidays!

We had booked seven nights here but ended up leaving two nights earlier.

On the plus side
+ Great beach
+ Friendly service

On the negative
- The room is humid and mouldy with plenty of mosquitoes from the garden
- Poor shower in room
- The common areas were not well-kept with a lot of old and rusty furniture
- I got food poisoning from the restaurant on the first day so we ate at the Marriott hotel next door after that.
