We had an INCREDIBLE experience with Good Earth! We can not say enough about the care, support and encouragement we received from Our Guide, Godson, the Assistant Guide, Nestory, and our Safari Guide, Moses, as well as all of the porters and support staff. They were all competent, approachable, knowledgeable and kind. In addition, the reception we received at the Planet Lodge and in the Bush Camp couldn't have been better. We would highly recommend Good Earth to anyone who is planning a trip to Tanzania, and specifically to Mt. Kilimanjaro.

From booking with Baraka, who answered all my questions, offered suggestions and was willing to adjust trip to my circumstance to the trip itself, amazing. The guide ,driver Joseph who was very knowledgeable of the animals, birds and trees seemed almost able To predict the paths the animals would take. Having us in a position to view these wonderful animals. I can't forget Ausman who prepared excellent meals and was a good source of modern African history. I would certainly recommend this company to my friends and if I can get back to Africa I will be traveling with Good Earth. Ohn forgot saw the Big 5 plus so much more you can't go wrong with theses folks.

We had an amazing safari tour of the Tarangare, Serengeti, Gorongoro, and Lake Mynara for 8 days and the tour of Victoria falls and Capetown organized by Good Earth Tours. We highly recommend Good Earth Tours. We would have rated as 5 star if not for some of the minor issues which we had and have provided feedback to Baraka, who organized our trip. Baraka was excellent from the start with prompt email responses for us who were looking for a first time memorable Safari experience. Don’t forget to take your camera with the zoom lenses and the binoculars.
We saw the big fives in plenty except the Rhyno. Our guide Prosper was excellent. He was not only a good driver but was able to advice to take more time to discover the beautiful Tarangare park. But unfortunately, Prosper’s wasnt able to change the date for the next park permit due to the negligence of the head office at Arusha. This delayed our entrance to the park to late morning. We were not able to see much activity in the Crater due to the mid day heat and the animals were not in sight. At Tarengare and Serengeti we were able to spot lots of liones, cheetahs, leopards, buffalos and hippos. We were also able to watch a tree climbing lioness who put on a show for us with different poses on the tree, a leopard sleeping on the tree after eating his kill and the cacus of the kill on a branch near by. We were able to see plenty of animals and birds at close range to our safari vehicle. Prosper introduced us to a shopping center on our way back which had beautiful Tanzanite stones to quality gifts at reasonable prices, after we bargained. The price was truly cheap in comparison to prices at other places, especially the Tansanite stones were of excellent quality in comparison to the prices and quality in other places.
Staff at all tented camps were exceptionally nice, welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Arusha lodge, Neptune lodge Gorongoro were lovely and Oliver’s camp and the lovely breakfast setup overlooking the jungle was breathtaking. Dunia tented camp was good but wasn’t worth for the price upgrade. We were very disappointed with both Anga’rta tented camps, in Serengeti migration camp and the Crater Gorongoro. We have provided feed back to have the choice of better lodging or tented camp.
Our second stop was at the Victoria falls. We flew into Zimbabwe and picked up by a guide in a van and driven to Zambia after visiting the falls. Falls from the Zimbabwe side was beautiful and very wide in comparison to the view from the Zambia side. It look us 3 hours to walk across the falls end to end. Wear comfortable shoes. We highly recommend the visit to the Zimbabwe side of the falls and to cross over to the Zambian side to stay at the beautiful Livingstone hotel. We got the Kaza Visa for $50 online to enter. Since we entered through Zimbabwe and not Zambia the visa was not recognized and we had to pay again. We were transferred to a van at the boarder. Watch out on the online Kaza Visa if you are entering through Zimbabwe. We drove to the Livingstone Hote in Zambia which was out of this world. The breakfast buffet spread was to die for and the dinner menu was great. Staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The hotel can organize to experience a walk with a lion or a cheetah or a leopard. We were not aware that we could also see a Rhyno, but we did take the Cheeta for a walk which was awesome. The Zambisi sunset river cruise was breathtaking with lots of snacks. There is a craft market which had beautiful native crafts and cheap.
Final stop was at Cape Town, which was relaxing at the beautiful Table Bay Hotel. The view from our room overlooking the pier and the Table Bay mountain was breathtaking. The breakfast was good. A lovely mall adjoining the hotel was open till late which was convenient. The restaurants near the pier and in the mall were great. Karen our guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. With her advice, we were able to shorten the winery day trip and go to Cape of Good Hope and whale watching. We saw lots of whales and with its offsprings.
We recommend the must stay at Cape Town to relax and rejuvenate after the hectic safari. Don’t miss the Victoria Falls which is a must see.
Thanks to Baraka, Prospet, Karen and the Good Earth Tours for making our trip memorable. Keep up the good work!

My friend and I went to Tanzania this October. We had very limited time so we only did a five-day Marangu Route on Kilimanjaro and a four-day safari including Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. GoodEarth helped us plan everything from our arrival to our department. Our meals were always the best on Mt. Kilimanjaro. We even had some fresh sliced pineapples as a dessert in our last supper on the mountain. Our Kili guides, Godson and Kerani, are very patient and reliable. We definitely could not go to the peak without them. Our safari guide, Aaron, is an expert in zoology and we learnt so much knowledge from him during our trip. And our stomach chemist Yusuf can cook the best lamb barbecue and banana pie in the world! I would highly recommend GoodEarth to my friends, because I can feel that they truly understand our needs and they are professional enough to take care of every detail to make our trip perfect!

Me and my husband did a 9-day migration safari in Kenya and Tanzania with GoodEarth and our experience couldn't have been any better. Every single detail was taken care of and all we had to do was just show up at the airport. We did a lot of research and compared quotations and itineraries from multiple tour companies used by our friends and GoodEarth stood out in terms of flexibility and getting the best value for our money. Very few tour companies offer tours in both Kenya and Tanzania in single itinerary and GoodEarth was the best among them. Both of us being vegetarians had no problem with our food. Our guide, Abdul was the best! He has more than 20 years of experience with guiding safaris and has lots of information to share. He even gave us tips on when and how to do certain wildlife photographs. He has an eagle's eye and we were among the very few tourists in the safari who were lucky to spot all the Big 5, multiple kills, river crossing and many more once in a lifetime events in a span of 9-day trip. Overall, GoodEarth was excellent in organizing our safari expedition and we will definitely use them in future.

Together with the danish travel agency, Tanzania Tours, we had 4 amazing days with Gerald from Good Earth Tours, touring the national parks in Tanzania.

We visited the Ngorongoro crater, Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Park. On the trip, we stayed on 3 different hotels/lodges - all absolutely amazing in each their way. One coffee farm, one with a view over Ngoronogoro and one finally luxury tents inside the Tarangire National Park.

We really appreciate that everything was planned and executed perfectly. At all times, everything was in order and went as planned, and at no time did we feel unsafe, uncertain or in any kind of doubt about what should happen next.

The reason you should choose Good Earth Tours it its guides. First of all, they speak good english, which is very important when spending 4 days with the guide on safari. On several occasions we experienced other safari cars driving by, while Gerald stopped, looked in his binoculars and saw something amazing - sometimes in the distance, sometimes close by, hiding in the bushes. Things you'd only see with an experienced guide.

Thank you very much for an unforgettable experience.

We did ALOT of research to plan our trip to Africa and were not disappointed with our choice to use Good Earth Tours. Here are our reasons:
1) YOU plan what you want to do and see and they arrange it. Sure they have a number of pre-planned tours, but you can tweak and change ANYTHING to get the tour YOU WANT. I liked one of their high end tours and changed it to use less expensive tented camps. We also added a trip to Zanzibar at the end of the safari. Good Earth arranged EVERYTHING and it all went smoothly.
2) Worked with a guy named Baraka. He was GREAT! All email correspondences were answered completely within 24 hours.
3) Cost for a customized tour was reasonable.
4) The tour guide himself (Prosper) was simply THE BEST. Friendly, knowledgeable, funny, full of information, but never "in your face". He was great!
5) Some tour companies place fixed limits on the amount of driving they will allow at any one location. Good Earth does not. They will drive as far as needed to get you to see the action. In the north serengeti he drove us up to the Kenya border. It was great and NO OTHER CAR IS SIGHT AT ALL!!!!
6) We did not need it, but they have a cool feature where once you plan your trip they can add it to the calendar on their website. If another set of people like YOUR itinerary and are willing to NOT change it.... they can be added to your tour and your cost (and thiers) will drop by hundreds of dollars.
7) The cars were comfortable with a refrigerator (not just a cooler) and a charging station in the vehicle. We saw some vehicles that were "more open" on the sides. We are VERY glad we did NOT have that. The roads are very dusty and the opening windows and pop-up roof gave us ALL the picture opportunities that we could ever have needed.

This tour company was accommodating from day 1. They realize that his is a significant purchase and are willing to answer any questions as it relates to the itinerary they have laid out for you. I felt comfortable in the planning process because Anitha responded to all emails within 1 business day.

The company made us feel welcome when we arrived in Tanzania and helped with getting us settled for the safaris. Bush Baby (Juma) was our guide and we were in his hands for 7 days! He was able to answer all questions regarding the animals and plants during the safari and did his best to get our vehicle in the best position for pictures. At one point, I was 5 ft away from a lion!

For the 8 day tour, there was quite a bit of driving. Due to the driving, I would recommend no more than 4 people in your group. This gives you space to spread out and makes it easier to move around the vehicle to get the best pictures!

Good Earth Tours were incredible to work with from start to finish. My friend and I started planning our Kilimanjaro trip back in January of 2018 and had one goal in mind- find the best tour group possible for climbing Kilimanjaro and exploring Tanzania. With so many companies to sort through we were incredibly grateful to come across Good Earth. They were clear, concise, and organized about everything from the start of our research up until we left Arusha. Our main goal on our trip was summit Mount Kilimanjaro and we succeeding in doing so thanks to Good Earth and their outstanding team of guides and porters. I would suggest Good Earth to anyone interested in climbing Kili and/or exploring the beautiful country and Tanzania. I cannot say enough good things about this great company! Thank you for everything Good Earth- we will be back soon!
