These people are the best and care about a quality experience in Tanzania and Kenya. They showed tremendous hospitality and gave us a great experience through Tarangire, Ngorogoro, Serengeti, Embakai crater hike, (and virtually everything in between).

We have been on a 10 day Safari with Bright African Safaris in August / September 2013 and experienced an extraordinary time.
When we started researching Safari companies (and there a hundreds of global and local tour operators), our aim was to find an good, reliable and not too expensive LOCAL operator. After an extensive research we came across Bright African Safaris (and the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor) and got into contact with Msangi (the Manager). He was very helpful, sent us various options for accommodations, gave advise for the different national parks, always replied on our emails within one day and was extremely patient with our modification requests. At the end we have put together a great itinerary for our Honeymoon Safari.
On the first day of our Safari our guide Orthman picked us up from our lodge and we started our Safari with a short visit at the Bright African Safari office where we got to know Msangi and his colleagues. He explained the itinerary, gave us some additional advises and encouraged to ask any questions we might have. It was really nice to get to know him in person. We again visited him at the end of our Safari where he was really keen to receive our feedback and suggestions for improvement – frankly there were none really.
Our guide Orthman is a good-hearted, open-minded and professional person. He educated us a lot on him, his life in Tanzania, the culture, the animals. We have enjoyed the trip with him and had a lot of fun. He is a very save driver (which is important – as it`s not much fun changing a burst tyre in the middle of a national park surrounded by wild animals ;-) and has spotted many animals (like lions and chitas) which we wouldn’t have spotted by ourselves. Therefore, we would really like to thank Orthman for this terrific trip!
During our Safari we have visited 5 National Parks (Arusha, Tarangire National Park – if you love elephants, then you definitely have to visit this National Park!!, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater). We have stayed in different tented camps and lodges which have all been very good (very clean, nice views – the view from the Tarangire Safari Lodge is really breathtaking!!!, very good food). In general, it’s always better to stay in a camp/lodge inside a national park, so that you don’t loose too much time to get in or out of a national park, but can start your game drive just after breakfast. During our game drives we have seen thousands of animals (e.g. baby elephants playing around, lions and chitas hunting, etc.) which was an amazing and unforgettable experience.
All in all we had a wonderful Honeymoon Safari which we will always remember. Thanks a lot to Bright African Safari! Hopefully we can come back soon!!

FIrst, I would like to say I have traveled all over the world (over 25+ different countries). I have had many experiences, but this hands down was the best (with the exception of the airport in france). If you are able to make the trip you must use Bright African Safari, they know how to give you a once in a lifetime vacation. We saw a lot of those cheesy commercialized tours and I felt bad for those people. Your experience will blow theirs out of the water no contest.

My wife and I did our Safari back in July and it was truly priceless. Msangi is extremely organized, professional, and incredibly accommodating. We got stuck in Kenya, so we missed our connecting flight into Tanzania. He had his guy wait in the airport until it closed at like 3am and then back again first thing in the morning to make sure he was there for us whenever our flight decided to arrive. The excellent service did not stop there. Our luggage was lost thanks to Kenya and the airport did not find it for four days. By the time they found it we were about 4 hours away in the middle of nowhere. He had someone track us down and drive our luggage out to us so we didn’t have to miss any time on safari.
In regards to our safari, our tour guide was Saleem who was incredible and probably the best in the business. He speaks several languages fluently and knows all the locals no matter where you are. Trust me, when you are on the other side of the earth it is very comforting to know that he has taken the time to create these relationships. The best part is that he actual really really genuinely wants to make sure your vacation is incredible. We saw other tour guides with other companies ignoring their own customers when they were trying to talk to them and just waiting for the day to be over. You will not have this problem with Saleem. He listens to everything you have to say and any extra ideas you may have for the vacation. I promise you it doesn't get any better than Bright African Safari they surpass all expectations and are determined to take your Safari to the next level. Believe me when I say, that means a lot coming from me because I don't give praise often. It is refreshing to find someone who still takes pride in what they do.
In regards to actually finding the animals, if you don’t spot them with binoculars no worries Saleem can see a cheetah crouching down from 7 miles away in thick brush. It is ridiculous how good he is at spotting animals and I have 20/20 vision and hunt. He gives you the best chance at seeing absolutely every animal in Tanzania. We were even fortunate enough to see 3 lioness's stalk, surround, flush out, and kill a gazelle all in real time from start to finish. We are talking peak hour Discovery Channel stuff. The whole hunt lasted about 10 minutes. Saleem calculated right where they were going to flush out the Gazelle by reading the animals. He parked the jeep in the perfect spot and we got to see the lioness jump up out of the brush and kill that gazelle 10 feet from us. I got the whole thing on video (see picture below). I could go on and on story after story, but to sum it up you will have a lot of cool adventures like this.
One last important thing I would like to say is that they are always on time, actually always early. You will never have to wait on them; they will be waiting on you. If you want, you can be the first one to leave camp in the morning and the last to come back. You tell Saleem what you want to see and he will drive until you find it. By far working harder than anyone else and longer hours. They want to make sure you get your money's worth and respect that they are on your time not their own. Like other reviews food is awesome never a bad meal. When you are with them they treat you like family with your safety and satisfaction being their number one priority. Another cool thing is that there isn’t the generic tour route. You tell them what you like and are into and they literally customize every tour to meet your needs. And yes, like a lot of others we were nervous to wire money to people we didn’t know in Africa. I promise you have nothing to be concerned about. I encourage you to read the other reviews they will say the same. Thank you Msangi and Saleem for the vacation of a lifetime!!! i can check that one off the bucket list : )

All our pictures were taken with a Cannon T3i Rebel. The biggest lens we had was only a 250mm with stabilizer. That should give you an idea of how close you really get to the animals.

Just returned from 3 week all inclusive trip to Kenya & Tanzania fully organised in country by Bright Safaris. Msangi (Director) was invaluable in helping us plan our itinerary, giving wise unbiased advice and endlessly patient with my modification requests - all done via email. After frustrations with Australian travel agents, it felt good to deal directly with an African expert. Bright Safaris are impeccably honest and give excellent value for money. Being a smaller company it was a very personalised experience. We naturally had to organise our own international flights & Visas. Remeber to take out Travel Insurance before paying for flights & services. From the day we were picked up at Nairobi Airport by Evans (Kenya connection) until we left Zanzibar to come home, every thing went smoothly without a problem, We spent two & half weeks on safari through 7 national parks/reserves, being escorted in our own comfortable LWB 'Troopie' Landcruiser vehicle with excellent driver/guides (Charles in Kenya & Othman in Tanzania) and staying in a variety of accommodation (with full board) being large lodges, small lodges & tented camps. The accommodation & meals were all terrific. The abundance of animals was amazing, esp. in Serengeti & Maasai Mara. Our final sighting tally was 67 lions, 6 leopards, 4 cheetahs, 7 rhinos, dozens of giraffes, baboons & monkeys, hundreds of elephants & hippos, thousands of zebra & antelope of every kind and a zillion wilderbeests. Then there were the birds!! OMG. We were fortunate to see a mass crossing of Mara River by wilderbeests, unforgettable experience. Must visit Maasai Mara & Serengeti north & central to gain palpable sense of wilderbeest migration. Finally we loved meeting Kenyans & Tanzanians who are the friendliest, most gorgeous folk who were keen to enhance our experience, and we never felt unsafe or hasselled. We unreservedly recommend Bright Safaris.

It was one of my greatest dreams to visit Africa and participate in African Safari. I expected a nice holiday but we got much more.. what more? First of all - fantastic atmosphere and unforgettable experiences. Our guides during the tour told us many interesting stories about living in Tanzania, they shared with us their amaizng expirience regarding habits of wildlife. They knew about wildlife really everything. We felt safe all time. They were always on time and always in good mood and smiling.
