Our private safari with Bright African Safaris exceeded our expectations. We chose Bright African because it is a local Tanzanian business owned by Msangi Charema. He is a “hands-on business man and very responsive. I communicated directly with him and he turned himself inside out to satisfy our requests. We wanted a 4 day “active” safari to Arusha National Park and the Tarangire National Park…not just sitting in a car. We got it.
We walked and canoed in the Arusha Park and had a great walk with several Maasai in a large area and the village just outside the Tarangire Park.
Our guide/driver Amiri was excellent. He is a kind and thoughtful human being with a very nice sense of humor. Was able to spot animals and birds easily. He loves nature and we learned so much about the animals, the birds and the plants and trees from him. Amiri also arranged for us to visit the local Maasai school and the local health clinic when he found out that we were interested in them.

For us, this safari followed a longer one run by an international company. We enjoyed this one more.

We have just returned from an exciting exploration of Tanzania, culminating in one week Safari with Bright African Safaris. We being myself (English Grandma), my English daughter, two spanish grandboys and father. We cannot speak highly enough of our Safari trip, no effort was spared to make this trip exciting and so comfortable. Our Spanish/English speaker guide, Leonardo, was so knowledgeable and great fun. Long may your business continue. Thank you. Grandma.

I am Daniel; 11 years old. bright African safaris is the best.
I love the jeep and I just loved the animals; there were just loads and loads.
the best place was the crater. the lodges were fantastic. all of them had
swimming pools. I loved crossing the river and the fantastic driver Leonard
he was the best.
I am Daniel's mother. My partner and I travelled with our two 11 year old children and my 81 year old mother. Msangi the owner efficiently organised all the safari via email and on our arrival in Arsuha he met us and most kindly sorted out three problems we had which were taking us to another hotel as we didn't like the one we were staying in, getting his driver to take us round several banks and big hotels until we were able to take out money on our visa
and also to a the Precision airways agency to book a flight. We were really grateful for his extra help there. His safari organisation was perfect. The best thing was his driver Leonard who was also our guide. He was very warm and friendly, amazing with the kids as well as with us, and also most informative about the wildlife and plants and also extra interesting as he was a Masai and told us about his life and culture. He was also a ver safe and good driver which was much needed on the long and muddy paths. We saw all the animals we could have wished to, loved the scenery and the lodges were pure luxary, plus good picnic boxes. No faults at all and we were personally welcomed back again by Msangi. Nice to support a Tanzanian company too.

Probably the best choice for our honeymoon we selected a 7 day safari with Bright African Safaris. Our guide was Salim a guy full of life, energy and enthusiasm. We had an amazing 7 days together, seriously missed Salim once we were relaxing in Zanzibar.

Once asking about the program initially we received a very detailed itinerary. Price was in accordance with other companies but the service we got for this price was much higher than compared to larger safari companies.

Salim was great fun, he shared lot of things about Tanzania, how people live, what are the usual things they do, problems they go about. Also, he had an amazing eye for animals, we spotted really a lot of things and it seemed that all three of us (Salim and the two of us) had so much fun.

We went on the cultural tour for one day visiting tribes -- that was probably the best thing during the tour, it's really amazing how close we got to local tribes. One thing you might want to ask for is to visit a local school which is not part of the standard program but can be organised.

The trip was very well organised we had some amazing accommodations, one of them was the 'paradise' next to Tarangiri, but also the tented camps were amazing. We really enjoyed our stay next to Serengeti too. Food is great too, really, you can lave canned food at home.
